Well I think I read somewhere that 'DuRellion' owns land in Haven or the entirety of Haven, not sure which. It would make sense that land in Haven was given to Justinia for pilgrimage, considering its proximity to the Temple of Sacred Ashes. Anyway. We'll see in-game.

And yes Nevarran would be cool as well :)

That sort of bugs me. I know the Chantry most likely will want ownership of the land but why not give it to a Ferelden person ? Haven is part of Ferelden, no ?

Yes, but Chantry has a lot of connections in Orlais, so they might have wanted to reward a good Chantry friend. Fereldan neighbours may not like it very much, but it was the Chantry's right to decide what to do with the land.

I'm sure we'll find ways to keep her occupied even when there are no conflicts to resolve at the moment. ;)

Well of course! Our diplomat will need a little downtime after dealing with all that boring paperwork and those pesky nobles. And by downtime I mean time for the inquisitor to "go down", if you know what I mean. groucho.gif

Sure, but the Chantry's a different authority than let's say, Empress Celene or King Alistair/Queen Anora, as it serves religion. It'd make sense for a religious place as important as Haven and the Temple to fall into Chantry hands.

But as of yet we don't know what exactly has been given to the Chantry. Was it the entirety of Haven? Was it a plot of land outside of Haven where a place for pilgrims could be made, a small, barricaded encampment, maybe? I'm intrigued to see how much Haven has changed over the ten years since we first saw it. I'd imagine quite a lot, considering the Warden basically killed everyone there.

Technically, yes. The mountains are populated by the Avvar though and they don't consider themselves Fereldan.

Off topic but since I can't decide for myself it seems. Playing DAO and can't decide should I:

1. Marry Alistair to Anora, execute Loghain and go on with the ritual

2. Marry Alistair to Anora, keeping Loghain and have him kill the arch demon

I personally prefer to have Anora rule alone, have Alistair remain a Warden and Loghain executed.

But what are you playing as? Have you kept Loghain alive often? And do you have any goals in mind for this Warden?

Playing city elf rogue. I usually kill Loghain and have Alistair rule and go on with the ritual but I'm trying to get different play through for once.

Wow, a city elf would have a lot of reasons to kill Loghain. Remember the Alienage? However, a calculating Warden might have a different idea.

I'd go with option 2 then. As a city elf you have a lot of reason to keep Loghain, but your Warden might like to have the teyrn 'redeem' himself as much as possible by becoming a Warden and battling the Blight, ultimately giving his life to end it. Poetic justice, as they say.

The Wardens are not about justice, poetic or otherwise, and they are not about redemption. They are about defeating the darkspawn. Everything else is just...else.

I know. My theory is that the DuRellion owns the lands where Skyhold is placed as well, and that it's the area they're discussing about and that they lent to Justinia. I don't think Skyhold is that far from Haven.

The Wardens, yes. The Hero of Ferelden? That depends on the player.

Really? After he sold many of your neighbours to Tevinter? And was about to do the same to your father? I'd say there's no other origin with more reasons to kill Loghain.

It's really personal choice, but for me, my city Elf hated being a Warden and thought making Loghain one was the perfect revenge.

Have him fight the darkspawn then, face the evil that he was denying, show him how wrong he was. And then at the end, he witnesses the burning of the capital, the deaths of thousands, the land he wanted to protect having fallen into ruin. And only at the very end, when the Archdemon is nearly defeated, only then can he die.

Do you think Josephine will be Andrastian? Idk why -I hope she's somewhat religious - but I don't think she'll be very much into the chantry or even the religion in general, something like Aveline.

But that's metagaming. The initial plan was actually to have the battle near Redcliffe; the horde marching towards Denerim was a surprise to everyone. As for dying, how? When you have to decide Logahin's fate you don't know that the Warden who kills the Archdemon dies.

That I see more plausible. A Warden like that would also cross fingers for the Joining to kill him.

Andrastian? Definitely. She's from an important Antivan family, after all. But I expect it will be part of her background, not a defining characteristic of hers, like it could be Leliana's or Cassandra's.

Also regarding the current discussion, my canon is a city elf! (favorite origin imo).

My city elf was determined to be a good person without letting his experiences or suffering affect him, he was conflicted about what to feel about Loghain, up until he went too far whether it's cause even more chaos in the alienage, make it lose it's keeper, kidnap countless other elves and selling them into unjust slavery and the decision maker was when he found out that his own father was kidnapped. He was then determined that Loghain must face judgement, at his own hands , and in the end he became the Bann to try and form a better future with the elves without any more bloodshed. Carrying on, after Shianni's influence started to rise, he strongly believed in her and her ability to do a greater job at leading the elves than him, after resolving awakening, he set on a journey to find his love Morrigan and when given the option he left with her, knowing that the alienage is in good hands and even if something were to happen to Shianni, his friend and fellow warden King Alistair will not let the elves go through a downfall again.. A selfish decision, but after so much pain it was about time the warden sought his own well-fare, even if for a few years.
