That's fine. But as someone that grew up being partially ostracized as "weird' because of my love of games, the historic connotations bother me (less so now, however, and I've less issue with "being weird")

True. But it seems this thread is always full of cozy pillows and cute ducks. Sometimes it feels as if I'm eating a bowl of sugar, but it's a wonderful oasis of heartwarming in the hectic BSN/Bioware forum. If that's weird, weird is amazing. Let's keep it that way :)

By the way, we have an idea of what Josephine may thin about her fellow advisors. What about the companions? Has it been mentioned before?

I don't know why this came to my mind. But, Josephine after twenty five years of marriage to the Inquisitor.

[DA]: As a skilled diplomat, she must be difficult to win an argument against. Does she get along well with the other advisors?

[SF]: She has a good relationship with Leliana. They’re old acquaintances, and they both know the other is very good at what they do. That said, I think it is a relief for them to see: “Oh, our work styles mesh after all. Phew!” That’s not to say they always agree with each other, but they’re a good team.

Meanwhile, while Josephine and Cullen respect each other, Josephine would always rather work towards a diplomatic solution while Cullen doesn’t always think it’s the practical choice. Josephine can get impatient with that attitude and the clash in their philosophies.

No, I know what she thinks of Leliana and Cullen; my question was about Iron Bull, Dorian, Sera, etc. Will she have interaction with them? Will she offer us her opinion about them, not unlike Alistair in DA:O or Kelly in ME2?

I wish to give the OP of this thread a High Five for being a fellow Kallen fan. I love Code Geass. I wonder if anyone recognizes who my avatar is?

I would not be surprised if we hear banter between Josie and Leliana about fashion and fancy shoes. Yes, I can imagine them bonding over fancy shoes.

I sure who our advisers get some banter with our other party members was currently I believe we are unsure of how much interaction our advisors will have with our party members.

Another from me, if you wouldn't mind. I loved Code Geass too. But I don't recognize your avatar, sorry  :(  Is it related to the series?

Vivienne should be included too :P

Thanks. My main female characters tend to be based off of her. ^_^

Um, Princess Alicia from Valkyrie Profile?

Um, Princess Alicia from Valkyrie Chronicles?

Wouldn't that be Alicia from Valkyrie Profile, instead of Chronicles? There was an Alicia too in VC, but she had a very different look.

Now that you say it, she does look like the one from Valkyrie Profile...

I meant VP, not VC. I don't know why it put the other name.

I'm sort of picturing Josephine as the Miss Pauling to the party's TF2 team:

I would not be surprised if we hear banter between Josie and Leliana about fashion and fancy shoes. Yes, I can imagine them bonding over fancy shoes.

But, but...  I wanna join in too.  No reason my inquisitor can't be girly and badass.

I always found it odd when Leliana was surprised when my character demonstrated a sentimental side...  I was like, are you kidding?  I've been nothing but sweet, and poetic with you this entire time, as well as a wonderful person, who if given the option would clearly kiss babies and save kittens from trees, and you're surprised?  My character was a living gentle soul fighting only when she had to, and only for the good of others, bending over backwards to make the world a better place.

Sometimes canned responses feel sooooo weird, lol.

I want my inquisitor to be able to be one of the girls.  I don't want to be stuck in the badass woman warrior who finds girly situations awkward.  Just because a woman learns to fight does not mean they distance themselves entirely from female culture.  I'm so tired of that stereotype.

I want to spend my time with Josephine and Leliana and Vivianne as an equal in the feminine arts, not some awkward person they need to educate.

I blame it on her evident Orlesian bias. No matter how sentimental you think you are, you are a barbarian dog-lord from Ferelden (a very nice barbarian dog-lord, but still), or a Dwarf, or a Dalish. No wonder the sweet Orlesian bard was surprised! And yes, it's canon that Leliana can have some prejudices, even if they are harmless. Having a conversation about the situation of elves can be pretty funny in some cases (including a dialogue option to make her see that maybe working for a noble isn't an elf's life-dream, and she apologizes).

I'm afraid that means that things won't change in DA:I. Maybe Free Marchers are a bit more civilized, but not so much, and then you can be a Qunari mercenary, a Dwarf gangster or another Dalish.

Nevertheless, in DA:O there was the option to discuss fashion with her, so maybe the Inquisitor will be able to take part in that hypothetical banter?

My dwarf was a noble who wanted to wear a frilly dress rather than her armor.  Totally acknowledged in game that she liked such pretty things.  So being a dwarf is not a reason you can't be into fashion or the like, especially as a noble. :P

There's no reason a mafia princess need be unaware of how to dress for those high class social occassions ;)

I hope I can, because I like those little things that allow me to define where my character stands on the issue of liking or not liking girly things.

If anything, I'd imagine a Mafia princess to be even more into high class dresses than even a noble. I'd be surprised if you couldn't talk about fashion with Josie or Leliana, It seems right up their alley.

I agree. However, the problem is not what your characters are or what they like. The problem is what a stereotypical Orlesian would think they are. That's the catch.

If you can't beat them, join them! Although in the case of Orlesians I suspect it would be the reverse...
