I didn't think it was the wrong thread, although I don't dispute that ducks are great and Josie is awesome. I was wondering what kind of wartable missions Josie would have, since there's got to be a reason she's an adviser. Talking about things like wine, coffee, diamonds, silks, and piracy made me think of the type of control you have when you hold the purse strings. Each of the advisers represents a different way of getting things done, and I'm speculating how Josie fits in. I think she might turn out to be a pretty valuable asset to have.

Josie's prefers to convince people to do stuff. We saw a brief glimpse of a war table mission and we saw both Josie's and Leliana's advice. Josie suggested convincing someone and Leliana suggested sending assassins. We can assume Cullen would advise sending in the troops or something like that.
Haven't had your morning coffee yet?
There is a strong likelihood as to this statement being correct.

Oh, no, sorry, I meant the post the I made in the wrong place and then edited out with some random Josie comments! Your comments were right on target ![]()
Anyone feel like dancing?
(this is an Italian medieval dance: the Saltarello)
I would halt my Inquisition for a chance to sip coffee with Josie anytime. Wonder how many sugars she'd take... she's already sweet enough : )
I'm really starting to think that Josie might be a nice surprise. Marjolaine's quote comes to mind, "You see before you a sweet, innocent girl, but don't let her fool you." She was speaking of Leliana, but I think it could very well apply to Josephine. Antivan trade is diverse and occasionally ruthless (assassins, don't you know.) Its real power comes from the merchant princes, not the royalty. A successful Antivan ambassador with experience dealing with all kinds of opportunity might be a very useful friend to have. Didn't someone mention a velvet glove over an iron fist? Underestimating her potential might be a foolish thing to do.
[DA]: As a noblewoman, she seems to bring a different set of skills to the Inquisition. What is her primary area of expertise?
[SF]: Diplomacy. Josephine has worked for years as an ambassador in the royal courts in Thedas. She’s very familiar with Orlesian politics, which comes in handy. She’s an excellent mediator and speaker. Crucially, she knows just how hard it can be to change people’s minds, and how much someone’s ego is tangled up in being “right”. Josephine prefers to gently steer people into agreement whenever possible, but she’ll take a stand when needed. There’s occasionally an iron fist beneath that velvet glove.
I saw in another thread here that apparently members of the Inquisition could end up in romances if you don't pursue them yourself. So Josie won't be my first romance *activate flameshied* as I'm going for Sera first, so I'm thinking perhaps she'll end up with Cullen. Just have a feeling this could be possibru.
Any thoughts guys n' gals as to who Josie might end up with if you don't pursue her?
I plan to play it so that each of my Quizzies follows the advice of different Advisors more often. My first Quizzie is a human mage romancing Dorian and will follow the advice of Josephine and Cullen in roughly equal amounts, but my second is a cynical dwarf romancing Iron Bull who will not listen to her much at all, generally favoring Leliana and Cullen. The third will follow Josephine and Leliana, but I haven't decided too much about that character besides that. I'll eventually make a Quizzie that listens to her almost exclusively, but I'm not sure if that will be the one that romances her or not.
I could see Josie and Blackwall, but no one else seems to agree.

You sure it wasn't fan speculation? lol

Eh I skim read alot, it could be a load of BS for all I know, don't have any source to back up this claim. Anyway it intrigued me if it happens to be true.

I hope they don't.
Well they did explore the idea with TalixGarrus in ME3.
Would be cool !
It wouldn't bother me either, I thought it was cute in ME3 when Garrus and Tali hooked up.
Never romanced either so it didn't phase me aha! ![]()

The only companion relationship I didn't like was IsabelaxFenris lol
The other hints in DA2 were ok

Ruined my romancing of them after I learned that. I felt like I was breaking up a couple by taking one from the other. Which sucked because they were my favorite romances. ![]()

Hmm I can see that problem. I could never romance Garrus myself, too much of a bro and physically nope sorz not my cup of tea. Kinda hard to see past Liara, srsly.
I hope they don't.

Hehe. I know it's not why you don't want to see them romance someone else, but I couldn't help myself. ![]()

Well technically you aren't because the hint that they would become a couple only happened in ME3 and the only way to romance them is in ME2
I'm the opposite really. If there are companion romances I want at least one pair to be serious and prominent. It makes me feel more like my companions are alive and have feelings for and about each other. I also would love to see some serious friendships bloom for the same reason.

Well to me it just felt like they really fell in love during ME3. Because in my playthrough, my maleShep had to basically friendzone Tali and I could feel her feeling quite sad about it all. So the hook-up didn't bother me at all. It would have been different had we had any clear indication in either Mass Effect 1 or 2 of the two being in love, which I feel we didn't get.
If they were to have hook-ups in DA:I, of which there is of course a fairly high chance (considering it's happened in the last few BioWare games), then Josephine/Cullen would be my first guess. My gut-feeling says it makes a lot of sense.
Yeah, they get together because they both got over you. No need for guilt!

I would like one genuinely happy couple to emerge from all of this if so, gah so much angst in this department already jeez don't need more of it. ![]()
