I read that today as well, got pretty excited as she will have her own quarters! ^_^
As for the kissing Josie... Let's just say... Every... Damn... Chance I Get  B)
It'd get to the point where she'd have to kick my Inquisitor out of the room so she could get some work done  :P

Why not in the middle of the war room? Remember those times in DA:O when companions would make comments about kissing your LI in front of everyone? At least Morrigan had a lot of fun with that.

That would be funny. I'm not sure how Josie would react because of a sense of decorum... *adding entry to theories to be tested*

Banter!

*reading a poetry book*

Josephine: *dreamy sigh*

Ragequisitor: Lost in the realm of uneven sentences and obscure meanings again?

Josephine: Oh shush, you. You do not hear me criticise your choice of reading, do you?

Ragequisitor: Considering I mostly read reports coming from you, that would be a bit silly.

Josephine: Perhaps you should expand your reading list then. I know some sonnets you might...

Ragequisitor; No, thank you.

*later*

Inquisitor: 'Hard in Hightown'? That title is worrying...

Varric: Nah! It's a crime story! Unlike that cheap knockoff.

Inquisitor: Well, Josephine might like it. She likes silly stuff.

Josephine: Indeed. After all, I like you.

Ragequisitor: *evil eye*

Varric: Wow. If anyone else had tried that, they would be dead now.

Josephine: *smile*

*side note*: I wonder how Varric would react to a parody of his book called 'High in Hardtown'.

Show of hands: who here will make it a point to go kiss Josie first thing when they return to SKyhold? Every time they return to SKyhold?

th_smiley-raising-waving-hand.gif

Like I said earlier, I get 'knight coming home from war to his loving wife'-vibes from the Josie romance based on what we know of it, so.... *raises hand*

Hmm maybe Josie might not be a fan of PDA tho.

I was rereading the info we got on Skyhold. Apparently we'll be able to go to our LI and just ask them to 'plant one on me'. (a kiss, that is)

This is what I like about you. You always give me ideas for banters. :D

*the Inquisition's inner circle is gathered around the war table*

Inquisitor: *tries to put an arm around Josephine's waist*

Josephine: Dearest, please. Not now.

Inquisitor: Why not? I just want to put my arm around you.

Josephine: Later. When we are alone, dear.

Inquisitor: Oh for... Everyone! Clear the room. I need a moment alone with Lady Montilyet.

Cassandra: Wouldn't it be simpler for you to leave with her?

Inquisitor: Out!

*everyone leaves, grumbling*

Josephine: *frown* That was a childish display.

Inquisitor: And this is an adult one. *passionate kiss*

Apart from getting cozy, I wonder what could attract the different Inquisitor backgrounds to Josephine. I think the Qunari were mentioned a lot of pages ago, but the nearer the release date is, the more I think about roleplaying options. Ideas?

Her role as ambassador and diplomat is going to play a big part of that I should think. She understands how people work and no matter how much they want to pretend otherwise, humans, elves and dwarves are very similar in behavior.

I think the Dalish Elf in particular might be hostile to a group with so many humans, and Josephine could help them feel less like an outsider.

For the humans it's pretty easy. They are high born and so is she. (well, the mage is a different story, but still)

The dwarves are the ones I'm having the hardest time picturing her with because of the criminal background. I need more time to think about this one.

Well, if you look at the Dalish, there's a lot of fighting between them and the humans. Diplomacy might be something new for a Dalish Inquisitor, or just an attractive way for him/her to get things done; a new way.

For humans, Josephine, being high born might provide a nice attraction.

The dwarf Inquisitor is a member of the Carta. So far, they've lived a life of crime on the streets of various cities in the Free Marches. Antivan luxury and wealth might be attractive to them.

The Human origin seems the easiest, doesn't it? Yeah, even the Inquisitor's parents would like their child having a romance with the eldest daughter of a noble Antivan family, a diplomat that has a lot of connection.

The Dalish... It depends on what Josephine might think of elf matters. A Dalish with a lot of curiosity about the world may help.

As for dwarves, it could work if they want to break away from their criminal life and be "legal". After all, Antivan history begins with pirates who united after they realized "a less dangerous life on land could still be lucrative".

Not really, Dwarves do make a lot of sense too, since to be a criminal in the smuggling business, I image you have to get contacts and an organized business with bribes and dirt on people. For that your dwarf needs to have people skills too and be a good diplomat, organizer... and so on. I mean you are supposedly a spy, not really an assassin.

Of course there is the more brutal approach but you can RP a more diplomatic criminal, it can be done.

Having played the walking dead games.......yeah, she barely can save herself. Shes most certainly not the type to lead the inquisition. :P

In fact, I hope we can play a 30 something experience character as well.

Right I asked on twitter about Josie's age, here's the reply I got (you guys win :D) :

@Vijoelante I never gave her an exact age in my mind but I'd ballpark it at around 27-29.

That would be an amusing image if you're a dwarf. (Or an elven mage with noodle-arms.)

Huh interesting. So I take it Sera is the youngest member of the Inquisition then, well her or Dorian or maybe Cole. I don't know how old Cole is meant to be as he is a spirit and all that.

That's decidedly less romantic. In fact, I would say that if you have to drag a woman into the bedroom, you have failed at romance.

So... she's younger than me. A young mind to corrupt.

But more traditional, I guess.

Well, maybe the Iron Bull, but the rest of the qunari are pretty a sexless lot. They probably take a "Lie back and think of the Qun" approach to breeding, followed by a dry report to the tamrassan and a ritualistic cleansing.
