Thank you for taking the time to share that TheAvatar. I do agree that Josephine is adorable (or lovely, as I notice the game itself uses a lot).
If you find yourself unable to pull away from her I suppose there's always Youtube for the others! ![]()

I honestly hope the bolded part isn't true, since BioWare romances really need more variety. Not when it comes to love interests, since that's been pretty diverse in Dragon Age, but when it comes to types of courtship.
It eventually really gets old when every romance follows the same flirt-sex-relationship path, which makes Josie's romance arc all the more fun and precious. Particularly because it suits her character so much.
I like to see more mixing it up too, though while I realize I'm speaking on behalf of Richard and could be wrong in my impressions, but I read his point more to the specifics (a duel) than "we'll only do the same types of courtships all the time from now on." Honestly I'd rather see more stuff like Josie's, on a personal level. I find it more interesting.
I'd like to step in and comment that it's fine to be disappointed. Making suppositions about other posters who like different content, however, starts to cross the line and will see increased scrutiny going forward.
If it comes across like you're shaming someone because they don't feel the need for an unambiguous sex segment of the romance (and vice versa, lets not mock those that do enjoy it) then action may be taken. We all have our preferences.
You know what's a real shame though? I can't find Josephine's romance theme anywhere >.> I asked Sylvia on twitter but she didn't know, and the official Dragon Age twitter didn't reply <.< Anyone have any ideas?
It was a reused track from Dragon Age: Redemption. When making her romance I found that the romance theme that Trevor delivered us (while really good) didn't fit well with Josie. I spoke with our audio guys and we decided to go with the Redemption love theme.
You can hear a bit of it on what I presume is the composers website.

Nope. She leaves him her favors around for him to find, as revealed in ambient conversation. She explains to the Inquisitor exactly what their affections towards each other are -- they are known, and respected. Also, the way she giggles at the War Table with Leliana about it is pretty telling.
Blackwall also isn't being "friendzoned" (god I hate that term). He knows just as well that he cannot be with Josephine.
My understanding is that this is what "courtly love" is? Reciprocated affection that cannot be acted upon due to the rules/mores of society/culture?
