The fans came up with that awhile back,    I'm not sure if we're going to hear about it in-game, but the writers approve of it.  We might end up with a bit of a meta-joke sneaking it's way into the game when it comes to her.

I came by to say, well, I'm sorry Scribble fans.  I really wasn't expecting Cole to be revealed before the game came out, much less before our poor quill bearing adviser had a name announced.  

I wasn't expecting Cole this soon either to be honest. I thought he would at least be after Dorian and Solas. As for Scribbles, if they finish the companions this week we should see the advisers next week hopefully.

Agreed on the fingers crossed. I love Kelly and Samantha, but yeah I wish they had more content in their games. 

 

They haven't confirmed it, but a couple devs like Patrick Weekes have used it in tweets a couple times. Whether this is because it is being used as an ingame nickname by Varric or something or just a way for fans to know who they are talking about remains to be seen.

Well, it really started picking up popularity a couple weeks before all the VAs started talking about recording lines so they could have redone the Varric lines addressing her or whoever nicknames people. That or like you said they'll slip it in like they did 'Prothy the Prothean' in Mass Effect 3. I'd be happy with the latter but would absolutely love the former.

She has an entire identity crafted by the imagination of the fans I really like.  Hopefully its close to the reality.  The devs tweets about Pseudo's art seems to suggest the fans are close, anyway.

Yeah, as every day goes by I wonder how close or far off the mark we are with her in terms of personality. But as you said, the dev's comments on PSDO's art those couple times at least show we are not completely off.

I confess to have been fascinated by her ever since I saw that concept art of her acting in a motherly fashion towards Cole. A woman who can act motherly towards a spirit / demon that is trying to improve itself is someone worth knowing.

I'm pretty free so here's how I think Scribbles might be (aka what I'd love for her to be):

*She might actually be one of the younger followers.

1- She'll be quite serious, but will also maintain somewhat of a cheerful attitude with a dash of humor. 

2- She'll be quite loyal to the inquisition and inquisitor, as such she'll find it difficult to express her disagreement with the inquisitor even though she won't hesitate to offer her opinions regarding certain choices. She will however be generally objective when asked for advice. 

3- She isn't the type who gets angry quickly, if something annoys her or she dislikes someone she will keep it to herself and will tend to give them the go by, only showing her concern a couple of times when she feels its needed.

4- She may have come from a poor home but she became a successful person, and strives for prosperity, to the inquisition and herself and does a damn good job at that too- she knows it.

5- She'll be somewhat stubborn, she appears to not accept criticism but in her heart and mind she's always judging her every action and mistake inorder to not repeat them.

6- She could potentially be a shoulder to cry on, she's mature and knows how to deal with problems, while she will not open herself up easily, but she likes it when people open up to her and she makes sure she makes the best of it.

That's all I can think of now XD

With the way DG laughed so sinister about it, and how much he likes to cause the fanbase 'pain' and how he's laughing in the Cole thread... my mind went there first XD also with how selfless Cole seems to be from the interview I could see him trying to take the blows for someone else who can't defend themselves. 

 

Unlike Liliana and Cullen, Scribbles seems to be the most non fighty type of the whole situation unless she has super secret skills, but I don't think they would go down that route for her to change it up.

Problem is, when you have insider knowledge like DG does, absolutely anything you say can be seen as cryptic foreshadowing.  It could be something as simple as the fact we don't know WHO that other person in that concept art, let alone what they're doing.

I wouldn't worry too much about what's happening in the concept art, to be honest. Whether he's stabbing her, or hugging her, or just standing awkwardly in the background and her reaction is due to something else entirely... Things like that tend to be drawn really early in the development phase, and often get scrapped or changed. Remember Alistair's concept art? He was originally going to be a battle weary veteran, not a wet-behind-the-ears novice.  

 

More than likely DG's just laughing over the fact that there's such a stir of speculation caused by a very tiny clip of a concept art that has absolutely no relevance to the actual plot of the game.

 

Or he's trolling us.

That is true. Plus we appear to have no replacement advisers, otherwise they would be shown too, so I don't think they'll be able to be killed off that easily. 

And yeah, Gaider loves to tease. One reason I think it doesn't happen is because his response makes it seem too obvious. Not his style to do that. 

 

And as others say, even if it does happens it could just be an optional thing.

On the other hand, it did catch on really well before Greg Ellis even showed up to do his first recording, so who knows. It could have caught on early enough. It depends on how far along the recording for characters who use nicknames, like Varric and Cole, were really.
