Alistair please. I'm going back to the city that exiled me for a murder I didn't do. Can we not talk about your father figure issues?
Alistair: Did you ever lose anyone important?
Cousland: Well, I found my sister-in-law and my nephew murdered and I had to leave my mother and father to die to warn my brother, who probably died at Ostagar.
Alistair: Oh, that's too bad. You know Duncan...
Oh Alistair. You selfish c*nt.

I mean I get that some things can't be added but I'd love for the Companions to at least pretend to care about what's going on with the Inquisitor.
That scene in 2 after Leandra's death? Loved it because they cared about what happened to Hawke!
The Devs did say companion interaction would be more in depth this time around. They're going to ask us why we make certain decisions, ask about us, etc.
I'm really interested in the Trevelyan background because it was implied that they were at the peace conference with members of their family. It will be interesting to discuss siblings with Josephine and Cassandra. I'm curious if we can discuss losing a sibling with the latter. While she's accusing us of causing the explosion maybe we can get in her face and tell her that our brother/sister was there too. That would strike a chord with her.

I like the sound of that.
Though given my Trevelyan is a mage not sure how much common ground there... Mine I'd try to play as barely knowing his family.
Cause you know a Templar supporting noble family would be welcoming to a mage child
A Chantry supporting family to be more precise. I'm not sure if that's better or worse... Imagine how awkward it would be for the Trevelyan mage to meet a cousin of theirs who joined the Templars.
I wonder if Josephine will have heard of that family? Considering her occupation she might have heard the name somewhere.

It didn't actually go that way. When you mention the Cousland Massacre he did say he was an idiot for forgetting about it.Alistair: Did you ever lose anyone important?

That's pretty much how I picture Sil'na reacting, though I assume yelling back about cousins in the Templars and chantry delegation. She may not have known that the older mage sibling was there as well, at least not immediately.

I know. I actually like Alistair but the man has the worst.timing.ever.
I don't remember if there was an option to say 'lucky you' when he says he forgot. It would have been appropriate.

I still crack up when I think back to his rant about Isolde after you sacrificed her.
It wasn't so much the timing that made it hilarious, but more how abrupt it was.
"Can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Sure, Alistair, what's on your mind?"
"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT"
I think there was a sarcastic reply available, but I'm not sure.I know. I actually like Alistair but the man has the worst.timing.ever.

I think I must have answered him differently or something, but I didn't actually get that line from him (unfortunately even though I just sacrificed Isolde a couple of weeks ago, I didn't keep a permanent save close enough to that point to look at the dialogue in my log.)
Edit: Just double checked on the sarcastic comment when he "forgets" the HN's family was murdered, and no, there isn't a sarcastic answer option.

It always annoyed me that he got so pissy about it when he himself could not come up with an alternate solution. Sure, saddle me with all the hard choices and then complain about them.
I wish we'd had an option to confront him about it. It would have made for an interesting way to harden him.
Warden: You don't like the way I lead?
Alistair: No I don't! You're making a mockery of the Wardens!
Warden: Alright then. You can make the hard decisions from here on out.
Alistair: I told you I'm not good at that.
Warden: Well that's too bad. Unless you man up and take some responsibility, I don't want to hear you question me again.
*Of course that would only work if the Warden was being a jerk.*

One of the things I most want in BioWare dialogue is the abiltiy to get really angry at people who make stupid decisions. I would have appreciated a button to spend a good hour shouting at Anders during DA2's ending.

Yep. We need to be able to get into fistfights with our companions too. A good brawl to clear the air. ![]()

You want to beat up Freddie Prinze Jr again?

Does Joesphine lose her cool and start throwing punches?

Is that a Mass Effect reference?
I seriously doubt Josie would get into fisticuffs. Maybe she'd ask Leliana to do it for her. ![]()

Oh, yes. Don't worry, I can make far more obscure references.
I seriously doubt Josie would get into fisticuffs.
Inquisitor could teach her, and in return she could teach them to speak more than two words in a sentance.

D**n straight! Or at least a bar brawl with our companions covering our backs. I have at least two PTs in mind where that would be completely in character, that comrade-in-arms-half-drunk-brawl/bonding (especially my female dwarf warrior who fights dirty.)

And you've given me an idea for a banter. Thanks!
