I'm not saying people shouldn't wear them. It's just my opinion and I mean no offense by it. 

I would prefer if there were no piercings in the world, but when have my preferences ever mattered?

That's pretty extreme, the world be a horribly dull place though if everyone wasn't different in some way.

I'd have to agree. Body modifications in their various forms and differing significance have been around for thousands of years within many societies. If they just went away, I'd feel like culture was lost. Some people use them aesthetically or as forms of self-expression, and others place upon them immense meaning, like adulthood and achievements. They're beautiful, especially in their diverse use.

 

The expression and freedom of people should never be restricted by another. We all do what we want with our own bodies and that's kind of an amazing human experience.

With all the terrible stuff that happens in this world, maybe it being dull wouldn't be such a bad thing.

That wouldn't stop bad things from happening. Human nature is what it is.  Reminds me of the conversation with the Arishok, something about 'life being wild and chaotic.'  Not that I necessarily agree or disagree with the Qun. Just interesting to ponder.

Our responses were relevant. Other people shouldn't have their choice to have piercings taken away because you'd prefer they weren't a thing in the world.
