I think there is still something to said to have a romantic union accepted by the religious institution it is performed under. The straight ones would have that, the gay ones would not (or may not, in the case of the stone and elven pantheon). And what if you're not a believer of any of those three? I think they sort of shot themselves in the foot to begin with here.

I hope that if SWTOR ever gets actual same gender romances, that there will finally be an option to have a gay marriage, just as the straight romances have. Not holding my breath on even having same gender romances with companions, though. It's been a while.

I seriously doubt they'll ever do any additional content for classes, which is pretty much what this would call for. One of the reasons I dropped away from the game, they seemed to have focused on big MP type stuff, and only added a little, generic story.

This isn't a debate we're having, are we? Josephine has dark skin, like many Antivans.

Dark complected people get tan lines too.

No, I meant the debate over whether Josephine has dark skin, Han.

I love Josie. I am playing a dwarf first and a dwarf fits too well with Sera to ignore, but I actually think I like her more than Sera, and it is really really cool I can do this. Where I love both my options as much as I do and trying to order them is so hard. Also Josie is greatly increasing the appeal to play human. I dislike playing human but a non mage human/Josephine is so perfect. This is one of the best struggles I ever had in a video game.

I think I'll be romancing Josephine with a Male Human Rogue in my Let's Play, so if you are curious you can see what it is like while romancing Sera in yours.

If Leliana did take vows, she'd be cut off from her romance, and BIoware won't do that.

And may I ask exactly why you prefer marriage?

This actually leads to an interesting thought: Does one need to take all the vows to become a Brother or Sister? I mean, Templars apparently have a vow of chastity, as seen with the Templar with the Desire Demon in DAO, and yet it is not mandatory to take it to be a Templar, as seen with Wesley.

As for why I prefer marriage being in the games, because then my characters can be more like my lifestyle and thus I feel a stronger connection to them and the game.

Well sorry for thinking something else.

It's fine. You didn't know.

Huh...Her skin complexion is very Indian-like...I mean that is what Maya Brooks' complexion looked like to me..

I remember some people thinking Indira Varma was going to be her VA because they thought the same thing.

I like how the image in a moon rise/set over the ocean. I really hope we find a painting like this to give to Josephine.

Plus Moonlight Sonata is one of my favorite Beethoven pieces. A perfect example of where something that is simple can be great.

I was actually wondering what makes that lifestyle attractive for you, and why your PCs would pick it.

Templar marriage is a big pile of unclear ideas and probable retcons.

...Was there a debate?

I was just curious how someone with dark skin tans since I don't have it myself.

As anybody would, of course. We just have to be out in the sun for a few hours, be it at a beach or water park. Or while gardening, perhaps? Anything really.

Alright thank you. :P It just seemed like an odd concept to my poor ignorant mind.

Also Abrahamic religions don't exist in Thedas. It may be that no one cares much about sex before marriage, and that the Chantry doesn't consider it a sin.

Bioware still should have included the option for players who want it.

I was actually wondering what makes that lifestyle attractive for you, and why your PCs would pick it.

Because it is a good lifestyle to have in my opinion, and since characters are an avatar for the player they tend to feel the same way about things as the player.

People with dark skin are just as prone as people with light skin to tans and even sun burns. The myth that darker people burn less fast is sadly a persistent one.

Now to actually be on topic:

Unless Josie has some ties with the Crows, I doubt it. And I very much doubt she'd have relations with someone that's pretty reputation-ruining.

But what if Leliana and Josie were "more than just friend" in the past? :P

This is going to be awkward when my Warden who romanced Leliana, and my Inquisitor who romanced Josephine met, and learned about such information.

Not as awkward as when you consider the fact that if Leliana's relationship with Josephine was before meeting the Warden it was with a minor or if it was after then Leliana cheated on the Warden.

Very true, and I don't see any problem unless her relationship with Josephine happens after the event of DAO which Leliana is already in the relationship with the Warden. (In case you romance Leliana)

I'm just joking btw, but I hope BioWare doesn't go down the same road like Jacob in Mass Effect 3 in case Shepard romance him, and if I remember correctly even Zevran who in relationship with the Warden would turn Isabela or Hawke down. I have no problem seeing other companions get together with each other, but I have an uneasy feeling against cheating. That said I'm still curious if Josie and Isabela were working together or came across each other in the past.

Are the Crows reputation-ruining in Antiva? They seem to hold a lot of power there, to the point that the monarch rules at their sufferance, and Zevran talks like it's a rather prestigious position.

A minor by Thedosian standards?

Oh thank god, I really hated him in DA2 as well, since Isabela wanted to do sex with him and I said "NO" and she did not.

I can protect my romances with my life in BioWare games.

In Antiva perhaps not but maybe in Orlais. Zevran is still an assassin after all. Not sure how that flies there.

Though not as obvious as Zevran.
