I have thoughts too, so I'll throw them out there! Under a cut because spoilers.

That clip would be true, if you think romantic intimacy means you must reward someone with your body for their affection. Not all think like that. For some it is simply natural part of two people being in love.

Yeah, absolutely. A mature individual could certainly understand the nuance of sexual intimacy as an act of love in that context. But at the same time, it'd be just as easy for people to feel "rewarded" for their actions in that scene with sexual content, particularly if it's the first time they're seeing any such content with her character. If it were made explicit from the get-go (as soon as her romance begins) that she and the Inquisitor were sexually intimate, then that would be one thing, and the player would just be witnessing it for the first time—but then, as a result, you'd lose that wonderful ambiguity that makes her romance more accessible to a broader player base. It's a weird line, and I'm happier that we did it this way.

People are surely entitled to think so. For me it is not a romance, more like friend zone thing. Like Kelly Chambers all over again, this time even without the hints.

I haven't attempted to romance Josie yet, but I did her personal quest. That shrewd look she gets when she gets serious... Delightful!

I'm really impressed with her so far. She's a very smart character, although her observations on the resource gathering quests is... overly cautious? I leave those to Leliana and Cullen.

I can't fathom how a relationship where two people are kissing and quite literally going out, can be considered a friend zoned kind of situation just because they may or may not being having sex.

I disagree, the only way I see an sex scene with Josie being an reward is in an sense that you are rewarded for your dedication to your relationship with her. This whole duel thing doesn't even matter much since she stops it before anyone can win it anyway. The lack of an sex scene just make her romance feel inferior to the others for the lack of content when compared.

I don't know but for me, the expectation of a sex scene with Josie was there since the beginning of the romance, after all that's where the bioware romances usually leads. But I found it wonderful the way It turned out to be, it just makes sense with her character, for me It was not about her sexuality at all it was about herself beyonds that.

It was simple as this, Josie was starting a relationship and it was "taking it slow" (for some people taking it slow=no sex) until she knows the other person well, 'cause like she said herself at one point wondering if the inquisitor was sure of where this whole thing between them was leading because they knew each other for such a short time. But that's my opinion..

Well, I'm almost at Skyhold and have no idea if I'll romance Cassandra or Josephine (flirted both). Love both characters' VAs. And their perspective (Cassandra is a tough girl with a gooey center, Josephine is the smart player of the Game, basically Leiana without the killing/violence). Might have a go at Cassandra first since Josephine falls for any Inquisitor, no matter gender or choices he/she makes (and thus I can in future playthroughs).

"As for the dueling scene, yeah I hadn't thought about how hard and time consuming that scene would have been since everything from the angles of the swords to the twirling hug to the cuddling on the couch by the fire that night would have to be different depending on the Inquisitor's race and gender."

Cannot overstate this enough, the majority of my time was spent doing this. When you watch either of those scenes, you're only watching 1/8th of the work done.

Representation, yo!

I disagree with saying a lack of an sex scene = lack in content

Figure this place will be decent to ask, since most of you will have done it. How content heavy is the Jojo romance? I've heard some people say it has the least to offer. I know there's not a proper romance scene, but is that all it's missing? Is most of the dialog done in those halfway house cutscenes where you just stand there looping the same animation? Or does she get as many properly animated scenes as Cass?

She gets animated scenes and a personal quest and all those things. I think the only thing she doesn't have is an obvious sexual encounter.

Well, I hope you get a face you like soon so you can enjoy the game. :)

I think I finally did :P

Anyway I'm finally playing the game properly now, granted my mid-terms are next week ;-; I should finish the game within a week though.

I'm just gonna say I'm gonna stay away from the forums for a while. There are threads that have brought me down because of their negativity and lack of sensibility. Apparently it's bad we get a more cheerful lighter romance, among other things. Plus I'm starting to read spoilers ;-; (Duel????).

That's all, wish me luck guys, both game and studies :P

I'm actually liking Josephine a lot more than I thought. Might even choose her as a romance option in my second playthrough, instead of Sera.

Lol, I don't know about you, but I don't make out with any of my friends or duel guys for their love.

I´ve seen friends kiss. And you do not get to "make out" with her, that is the point.

Okies, quick update.

I think this character might actually be the one! :D

I find his face exactly the way I want it to be (finally!!! Me 1 CC 0). And the role playing is SO good.

I decided to play as a pro-templar-chantry-circle mage who believes that the mark is indeed Andraste's gift, but after

Spoiler
I love the role playing aspect in this game so much I cannot put it to a few words.

Also Josie, here I come!

Yes you do. After you get into the relationship, you can invite her into Skyhold's Garden anytime you want to make out with her.

There should be a flirt when you talk to her at the waterfront after doing all the objectives.

Nope there wasn't a flirt... just checked now and highlighted all the dialog options to make sure.

I know that Blackwall likes me. Is there a way he's somehow blocking it? I've been able to flirt with Sera though as well.

Well, did you do their personal missions first? If so it may have locked you out of Josephine's.
