Because... the sex is ambiguous?

So, if you got to see nudity of some sort the romance would be fine for you? I can understand if you don't like the romance because you feel that the characters don't grow enough through it, but would a sex scene really have changed all that much?

I'm sorry, but I am honestly having difficulty understanding how an ambiguous sex scene creates a weaker narrative/emotional bond.

Some people cared a great deal about seeing their Shepards alive after ME3. What's seen onscreen matters to the narrative to many people; it's a sign of what holds significance to the story. And sex is a very important thing for me.

Sex scenes really don't have that much importance to the narrative

What would it add for Josephine? Something the rest of her scenes don't?

Seeing some pixel  boobs is clearly more important then the dialog.

An element of physical passion that's an important component of their relationship, if the player chooses to go there. Also something of an inherent twist on the rest of that romance archetype, as they so frequently stop before anything physical.

You say that as though I wanted to remove any dialogue.

Physical passion isn't even a thing. Also, since you aren't your Inquisitor, not really.

All this hate on Josephine's romance is really making me reconsider it. I know it's really sudden, but it's about time someone made an honest man out of me.

I'm just saying; but that's like the first flirt you say to Josephine if you're human

Boobs are still rewarding, however.

It was supposed to actually been something with Cassandra. To see the heart inside the shell, a common them during the romance. What would it mean here besides bewbs are nice?

That undeniable fact aside, it was as poetic as the cheesy lines that came before. Nothing is gained by stripping down Josephine.

Of course, and I'm not arguing that there would. I'm just spouting truisms.

My Inquisitor got into a romance with Josephine, but I think it was the beginning because I didn't get the achievement. I then dumped her and tried talking to her at her desk in Skyhold. She didn't want to talk to me. I didn't save the game though. Just wanted to see what happened.

Also, Leliana will ask what your intentions are if you try to pursue Josephine. Does anyone know what Leliana says if you say you just want your relationship with Josephine to be casual? I picked "I truly have feelings..." for my Inquisitor, and Leliana said to tread carefully.

Josephine's romance seemed the easiest though Solas was the first one my inquisitor kissed. I thought Cullen was race-gated to humans only, but my inquisitor sides with mages and is diplomatic, so I think that's why I got Josephine and Solas' approval quickly.

Your Inquisitor says that they were just giving Josephine a few words of praise, nothing to get upset about. Leliana asks you if that means she misread the situation, but with a tone hinting that she knows she is right.

Having finished Josephine's romance arc, I'm left with many more questions than answers.

Spoiler

Also, the sex thing.

I will say that one thing I find refreshing about Josephine is that she is every bit as competent as the other members of the Inqusition, but she can achieve her goals without violence.

Yes, I love that. Such a unique experience for a follower since every other follower we've had in DA games have been skilled in killing.

As I did not censor your critique of the treatment of demisexuality in Bioware games thus far, I'll thank you not to censor my critique of Josephine's romance.
