I'm curious, given all of the complaints about this romance is it as full as any of the other companions? I'm aware that there isn't an explicit sex scene, and I don't really care about that. I'm just wondering if it has the same amount of content as the Cassandra romance which had quite a lot.

As far as I can tell they all have equal content

I find it funny that people are acting like Bioware "removed" sex scenes from Josephine's romance, as though they intended for them to exist in the first place but took them out just to make people upset. Nothing is being taken away from the romance, it just plays out in a different way than others. They shouldn't need to explicitly show nudity for the player to infer that they could be intimate.

Agreed. They focused more on relationships this time around, which added even more realism to the romances. I thought they did a fantastic job. Only experienced Cass so far, but looking forward to Josephine's. I will never understand the notion that a romance has to have nudity for it to be effective. It's all about the portrayal of the relationship between the two characters, and what I've seen between both Cass and Josephine, Bioware did an excellent job. People who do the romance only for a sex scene have a shallow understanding of how relationships work.

It's not only for the sex scene, but I view it as a fairly vital component. As I would in an actual relationship.

The Josephine romance got as much time, money, and resources as the other romances, yes.

Well the writer stated that while it wasn't explicitly shown, that doesn't mean it didn't happen. They wanted to leave it up to the player to fill in the blanks as to what happened.

I personally love the ambiguous nature of it all myself.  I'm asexual, and I find it rather interesting that I managed to romance a character where it can be interrupted as one if you so wish.  I'm curious to why it's such a big deal though?  As Sylvia said, it's fully up to you.

The sweetness is too much though.  I had to get a filling from it all.

Now I'm curious what happens if you do?  Hmmm.

Oh, I guess I can stop calling myself a lurker now. Oops.

Welcome to the Josephine thread officially! ^_^

Everyone knows that every single relationship is made or broken on a single principle: The Almighty Law of Bewbs. Didn't you learn the basics of mathematics? This is pretty basic stuff, bro.

Wasn't there a Bioware post a while back about being civil?

If only all of my problems can be solved by bewbs.

Anyways, thanks for the welcome.  I'll be sure to post a bit more in places.  Never been too good at this sort of thing.

Apparently breasts are a source for great mockery in this thread. Fascinating.

Did I... somehow offend? I was making light of an issue that I personally find to be a bit silly. I had no intention of attacking anyone or disrupting the civility of this thread.

EDIT:

Apparently breasts are a source for great mockery in this thread. Fascinating.

What is being mocked is the implication that seeing female breasts (a more acceptable term?) somehow increases the value of a romance. I'm sorry that you didn't understand. I will attempt to make the object of all of my posts extremely clear from now on.

I understood extremely well. The problem is that your mockery is based on the idea that we somehow see breasts as being valuable in and of themselves as independent entities, when that's never been the case.

.... I don't really understand your argument, but I assume that continuing to express my dislike of this situation, whether reasonably, jokingly, or otherwise, will create a circular discussion of nonsense. So, yeah, I won't talk about breasts in the context of your dislike for this romance anymore.

(But I will move on to Bull's breasts, for they are bountiful enough for all)

Nope. You can't remove something that didn't exist in the first place.

So my 2nd playthrough, Josie will be my Inquisitor's love.

I'm curious, on a scale of 1 - 10, how likely is it my flirty comments will slip right by her at the start? She's pretty adorable, so if its very likely, I might just burst into a rainbow.

Now, as soon as I can get past the beginning, I can begin my journey on wooing this delightful lady! *_*

Spoiled myself watching Sera and Josephine romance scenes on youtube. I can now say I'm fairly set on Josephine's romance for my next playthrough as a female qunari mage (which won't be for a while, but still), and not so much on Sera's. TBH, in general, while playing (currently loving Cassandra's romance with my male dwarven inquisitor) I'm not liking Sera as much as I'd thought I would, and liking Josephine a lot more than I thought I would :) Josephine is a lot more calm and collected and conversations with her are less disjointed feeling than with Sera, idk.

If I came across as claiming she was obvious, I apologize, that wasn't my intention.

Not at all. I'm just saying that she's going to pick up on your flirting instantly. She is a diplomat, after all.

There's one flirt that slips past her tho :P

But yes. She's perfectly aware when you're flirting with her :)
