You can even dance with her without beign in a romance.
I never flirted with her during my first playthrough since I went for Cass, but I messed it up.
Someone mentioned there was a kiss scene at the winter palace if romancing Josephine, I don't recall getting this. Only the dance and the comment from her sister. Did I miss something?

I remember some people claiming they didn't get a romance dialogue option with Josie if they dueled Otranto before the Winter Palace. I wonder if this was it, as I dueled him before that quest.
The dueling scene was kind of cheesy.
truthfuly my thoughts ont he romance was, honestly cliche... BUT... it was well done, so I can't say anything bad abotu it, Saw the promise of marragie to another man coming about a mile away but, it was well done, dueling, and the guy backing down in the face of love. 2 thumbs up.

Most likely going with a Josephine romance this time around to see what romance fit the best with my Inquisitor and I got great hopes for Josie being the one just from talking with her in the first playthrough. She's quite something!

I finished the game today. And though I won't give anything away, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed Josephine's romance. It was quite sweet and very romantic, and dueling Otranto was just awesome. But... I don't know, it felt like it lacked something. Maybe it's the lack of a 'proper' sex scene. Or the fact that Josie's and adviser and not a companion. But all in all, it was great. The highlight was probably the dance at the Winter Palace, for me.

You should give Bioware more credit than that - the game gives you the option to just intrigue your way through, discrediting him and scuttling the marriage. You have to willingly choose to duel him b/c it's the more dramatic/romantic option and then, when Josephine confronts you, lay out your feelings for her in front of all Val Royeux. I thought that was very clever, very storybook, and very well-done.

I did both Sera's and Josie's romances and watched a few of the other ones on Youtube. All the romances felt like they lack something to me. They feel too short, if that makes sense?

There should be a romance dialogue/cutscene for every area new can explore! For Cullen and Josephine: tell them about our adventures! Boast about slaying those dragons! For our companions: discuss our adventures with them. Ask what regions they liked. That kind of thing. Maybe there is a particular monster that freaks them out? Or if I give them armor crafted from super rare material they could acknowledge that? (and complain that I butchered adorable Snouffleurs to get their super cold resistant leather? XD)

The youtube videos unfortunately do not include all of the romance content in the game. All of them seem to end after the "final" scene, whether that be the sex scene for Cass or the couch scene with Josie. There is plenty more romance content peppered throughout the game after that in the form of dialogue at skyhold, or in story specific areas. (i.e. Winter Palace) A lot of subtle changes too that add to it. Then there's the romance content at the end of the game from before you hit the arbor wilds, to walking down the steps at Haven, to the interactions/cinematics at Skyhold.
The romances were definitely not short if you take into account everything in the game that relates to the romance. Like I said the sex/couch scene isn't the end. Bioware did a good job with making it progress through the entire story with this game. Gave it a nice flow.
If the next game is set somewhere up in Northern Thedas I hope Duke Otranto returns.
I was expecting to hate him given his role in Josephine's arc, but when he actually appeared on screen he turned out to be honorable and surprisingly likable.

I was really impressed with all the advisors. Their little convos at the war table were nice.
