I must be the only one who doesn't flirt with Josephine until after doing the mage/templar quest
I just couldn't resist teasing her about her wanting to talk about Trevelyan's parent's.

Hi everyone
I just wanted to ask a question about Josephine and her romance, I heard she's not a real or fully romance option, basically no sex scene only a cheesy kiss, no banter about her relationship with the inquisitor and less conversations/cutscenes than with Cassandra ?
In short she's the Traynor/Kelly Chambers/Cortez of DAI ?
If this is real that's a big let down because her character is funny and nice, better not doing anything instead of doing a half assed romance I really don't understand.

Actually that's false. She has just as much romance content as Cassandra, I've done 4 playthroughs so far romancing only Cass and Josie. Considering the majority of people on these forums are under the erroneous impression that both romances end at the sex/kiss scene, I wouldn't put much faith in all the nay saying. There's plenty of content afterwards throughout the campaign for both. Personally having done both romances multiple times, I find Josephine's to be the best.
Depends on which route you take the short or long path did both long path seems more fun, romance wise.

So how many quests does she have after the kiss and how many content ? And the same for Cassandra ? I would like to compare.
Because a lot of people are saying that Josephine isn't a real romance but more like a big bonus with less content than Cass. Considering she isn't in our team that wouldn't be surprising.
And that would be a big step back from DA1 and DA2 where we had 2 big romances (Laliana/Morrigan and Isabella/Merril).

Josephine has three quests. Her personal quest, her gift quest, and her lock in romance quest.
She has as much content as the other LIs because she received the same budget for the romance.
The only difference is there isn't party banter about it in the field since she isn't there, but she makes up for it with banter at Skyhold and among situations with the advisers.

But no sex scene right ?
And that quest where some organisation is trying to kill her is this the personal quest ?

That is correct, there is no sex scene. Thankfully.
And yes, that would be her personal quest. The other two only happen when you are in a romance with her.

Hey, don't be put off by the lack of a sex scene. ![]()
Josie's romance reduced me to a pile of sweet goo a number of times, and honestly a sex scene would probably have just detracted from it.
And this way, you could take Josie as asexual if you wanted to - asexuals rarely get any representation (think unicorn rare), so that's a good thing. (Though it would be better representation if it had been canonically confirmed within the game that this was the case.)
Anyway, Bioware's in game sex scenes have mostly left me cold, they are often either ridiculous or firmly in the middle of uncanny valley. If you really want a sex scene with Josie, you're probably better off seeking out some decent fan fiction (or writing it yourself!).
(I am now having a hard time romancing anyone else in the game on my subsequent play throughs, Josie's is that good.)

Agreed.
As for asexual representation, Josephine's writer Sylvia says that seeing Josephine as an abisexual or demibisexual is a perfectly valid viewpoint, so by Word of God she can be those orientations.
And yeah, I try romancing others but I can't seem to.

She has two private scenes in your room, what ever they had sex or not is up to the player. There's also the duel scene which is also pretty lengthy.
So yes Josie is a real romance as she has plenty of flirting, she has a romance gift quest, she has a lock in scene just like everyone else, she has romance scenes in your room and at the end of the game you and her go to your room, there is also romance dialog in the wilds and before the quest, in the party, Cullen comments on the romance and when you return to Skyhold you also get a romance unique scene.
Oh, you also can dance with her at the WInter Palace.
SO yeah, if that's a "bonus" romance then dam, what a bonus romance!
I just couldn't resist teasing her about her wanting to talk about Trevelyan's parent's.
Agreed. I just said it to be funny. Most of the flirts in the first act are like that.

Noope, Josie rode my qunari and loved it, she loves qunari bosoms.

Didn't know your qunari was Iron Bull 2.0 ![]()

There are two fade-to-blacks in the Inquisitor's quarters. The final is after some suggestive dialogue in the run up to and aftermath of defeating the big bad.
Ultimately what happens is up to the player I suppose since the scene fades out, but the second in particular seemed designed to suggest that something went on. Its at least implied as much IMO as the fade out in Lair of the Shadow Broker.

She has good horns.

Quests? None after the duel but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty of romance content after that. You have the romance dialogue throughout the main quest storylines, about 3-4 more dialogue exchanges not including the ending scenes when you defeat corypheus. It's also referenced here and there, someone mentioned earlier in the wicked grace scene and some of the banter with advisors if I'm not mistaken. Bottom line, Josie has just as much romance content as Cass. Don't listen to the whiners who are upset that they didn't get to see digital nudity.
People are saying she isn't a "real" romance because she doesn't show nudity. That's what constitutes a "real" romance to some of the kiddies that unfortunately frequent these forums. As I said, I've done 4 playthroughs and romanced Cass and Josie in all of them, 2/2. Josephine was without a doubt the best one in my experience.
And yeah, I try romancing others but I can't seem to.
I second this. Planned to do a Solas and Cullen and Cassandra romance playthroughs. But nope, nope and nope. she's one of the most perfect female characters to me, and her romance is definitely my favorite I can't wait for the DLCs/expansions.
I'm just sayin, whenever I feel a bit sad or bored I play Josie's romance scenes because I can't help but grin and feel so good watching them, watching my character fall in love with such a beautiful, graceful, well mannered lady who can turn all the grim and sadness from long days of journey and fighting evil into happiness. At the start of the game I mentioned to Cassandra that wherever I am is home enough for me, but now, Josie is my home.

Well technically she has two quest like every other romance. While Cass, Dorian and Blackwall DOhave a third one, it's a fetch quest and really does nothing for the romance.
So everyone has their own big personal quest(Josie's is pretty long if you do it her way), her gift quest and she has a lengthy lock in scene.
Also yes at Wicked Grace, there is romance dialog for Josie.

sadly not very disappointing if you ask me there doesn't need to be any nudity (but why not)
its just strange that it isn't even implied that they had sex (or maybe I missed it)
its just part of every relationship

There is? I don't recall getting any.
I recall one specific dialogue in the arbor wilds, it's right before you go towards the temple that you can talk to josie. One of the dialogue options is we'll celebrate later, and the inquisitor tells her that when they are done they will be spending a long time in private, the dialogue from both of them heavily implies (to the point where they might as well just come out and say it) they are talking about having sex, but it's not shown and like others mentioned left up to you to decide if it did or didn't happen, but there are dialogue options that can lean one way or the other.sadly not very disappointing if you ask me there doesn't need to be any nudity (but why not)

There is far more romance dialogue after the Duel scene is what I'm saying.
