Um guys so in Josie's personal quest. Did you kill the assassin or let him go? I'm conflicted what my canon would be, granted my Inquisitor hates bloodshed, but he's an assassin.. At the same time he's giving Josephine a chance.. Bah I'm confused >.>

I had the Inquisitor let him go.

He behaved honorably and with the warning seemed to be providing an option to get that contract cancelled.

He threatened the life of my ally (and my love interest).  I wasn't letting him leave alive.

My main inquistor, Navilia Trevelyan, let him go. She is very much into honor and diplomacy, plus it could have made an enemy of this assassin order.

Interesting seeing different perspectives. I've settled for letting him live, technically he's saving Josephine's life by giving us a chance to explain the situation and give us the best chance and I somewhat admire his honor, that being said I still completely disapprove of these assassins--- murderers.

Starting the romance again, I realize how happy these scenes make me, they're so adorable, and cheesy- yet the humor you can add balances it perfectly, also it's so optimistic, it's nice to forget about all these worries and take a moment to bond with your loved one- in whatever way you see fit.

Plus the truths my virtual self speaks of me :P About time I get to say that in-game :D

EDIT: Forgot to mention how much I love how the British VA delivered this line, it was brilliant.

Josephine's description of Antivia City does make me wish that we could go there in a DLC or another game.

Here's the music that plays when the Inquisitor declares their love for her...

Just don't fold.

Choose the dialogue option where you go all in on that last hand, and the Inquisitor wins the pot. I prefer to have the Inquistor fold though, so that Josephine wins.

Can you always win even if you don't romance Josephine?

Because I never fold yet she always wins. It would make sense though if she only wins if you romanced her.

Stil need to romance her >_>

I let him go. He was courteous and honorable enough to give Josephine a fair warning rather than just taking her out, so I figured I could at least return that courtesy by letting him leave alive.

I suspect she lets us win if we are in a romance. The same way we can let Cullen win the chess game.

That's one way of putting it. I'd go with their nothing out of the ordinary with her, but I guess that works too.

That's the thing though, she is out of the ordinary. Everything about her is unique compared to our other followers in the Dragon Age games. The most notweworthy is she is a noncombatant, but even things like how she goes against the grain of what we've experienced about groups, particularly Antiva and Bards, in the previous titles sets her as out of the ordinary. I like how she breaks the stereotypes that were set about those groups as well as others.

Interesting! I didn't know that turns out differently depending on romance status.

It sounds like she pulls a Shepard if she's the LI.

I.e. being ordinary. Companions aren't ordinary, so being different from them doesn't make Josephine unique, only unique among the cast. There are plenty of things to dislike about her, so it's obviously not that.

I killed the guy. Never let him leave, just can't do that in good conscience. :P

That's because 80% of the discussions that take place in the Cass thread are about anything other than Cass :P

Haha, true.

Yeah I was looking for this the other day. A lot of good music just isn't on the soundtrack. I'm waiting for someone to rip them at least, there used to be 2-3 people who consistently did that with Bio games but their channels seem to be dead. :/

Just don't fold.

"Never bet against an Antivan."

You have to call their bluff at the beginning of the scene, and then bet again when Cullen challenges Josephine in order to win. It isn't an automatic win if she's romanced, I did the scene 3-4 times to exhaust all the dialogue and that combination was the only one that netted me a win + romance dialogue.

Ah, yes. One of the Two Classic Blunders of Thedas. The other being "Never get involved in a land war in Seheron."

Naivety, childish behaviour at times, the need to solve everything with words, etc. Sure I get why she does them, no they don't make her any less of a character to me. No I don't hate her. Doesn't mean I can't dislike them. Generally, anything you like about a character, tons of people hate about them.

Don't forget the race rules with gambling as well. If I remember right, you'd never be able to tell when a Qunari is bluffing, you'd never get your money back from an Elf, and a Dwarf will rip your arms off if they lose. :P

I just got my Inquisitor to kiss Josephine for the first time last night. That was cute.

I like the progression of Josephine telling you to talk to Leliana and then Leliana softly interrogates you (or as soft as an accomplished assassin can be) about your intentions for Josephine and then having the Inquisitor and Josephine talk in his quarters. And that moment where she lift her leg when the both of them kissed.

They're all so sweet I thought I'd be getting diabetes last night, hahaha.

So romancing Bull this run (yes yes I know HERESY!), but that scene with Josie in it? Simply one of the funniest moments in the entire game ever.

-I cant move my legs- is ranking right up there.

I wonder if Weekes wrote that since it was in bulls romance, or if Josies writer delievered it

Josephine isn't naive. She knows exactly how the world works. That's how she is as good as she is at her job. Idealistic perhaps, but not naive. You'll have to clarify what you mean by childish behavior. As for the need to solve everything without violence, I find it more scary that people think that wanting peaceful options is something to dislike but people can think whatever they want as long as it doesn't harm others.

And that is true. If there is enough there for someone to like something, there is enough there for someone to not like that something as well.

I legit had a "What would Josephine do?" thought in a real life event today, not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing :P
