My Josephine romance may or may not be bugged. It's odd that before the Winter's Palace I still didn't trigger Lord Otranto (I'm a bit worried
)
Modern Josephine by Yukaryote.
Oh, I like it.
I recently finished my first Inquisition playthrough with Josephine as my romance so I've come here to gush about her! I was so looking forward to this romance and was pretty sure it would be my favorite before the game came out and I'm so happy that it lived up to my expectations in every way. It is not often that that happens. Josephine was just perfect for my Inquisitor and is what I've been looking for a Bioware romance for a long time. She's kind and always wants to solve things without violence and I also love how clearly competent and skilled she is at what she does.
IMy Inquisitor () was smitten when I first saw her dealing so well with that snooty noble back in Haven.
The romance itself was supersweet, which I love. It was cute how your flirting goes over her head at first and I like how the romance progressed nice and slowly. The cuddle on the couch thing was the best thing ever. This is one of the few Bioware romances that I felt managed to actually convey a lot of intimacy. The only thing that I didn't really like was the duel, because I like playing characters that avoid violence as much as possible (and that seemed especially silly in Josephine's romance because she prefers that too) and really Josephine should get a say in who she marries and not have people fight over her. It felt like you should have been able to take a longer, more diplomatic route like in her loyalty quest...that or declare your love publicly with poetry or something cheesy like that.
Ultimately, I still adored her romance, though, and the couch scene after the duel totally makes up for it.

Did you complete Here Lies the Abyss yet? I believe it requires one of those two missions completed before it triggers.

I did, I romanced her like 2-3 times before and this never happened to me .-.

Yas I've always wanted to see the full romance as a male qunari but they're non existent on youtube <.< Thanks!
I feel like such an idiot. I found out what I was doing wrong; I forgot to buy Josephine's family crest and give it to her <.< This is what happens when you play a single hour of Dragon Age a day >.>

So I just saved your life? Knew it.

Glad you figured it out.
So cute I can't stand it!
It reminded me so much of Beauty and the Beast.
I second this

I forgot that on my second Josephine romance playthrough. I was trying to figure out what I did wrong, or if it was bugged and it ended up being the crest. ![]()
Good Lord, Josephine is a Disney princess. And no wonder why no one can romance her the usual way. Now I know how to woo her...

Nah, if we get her an animal that is attributed to a princess it would be a swan.

I'm still waiting for a fan service DLC where we have to save her from an evil wizard.
I don't actually mean to be rude...Nah, if we get her an animal that is attributed to a princess it would be a swan.
I hate that movie. The ballet isn't much better.
I agree, but I love the soundtrack the kids movie .
Well, I was mainly using the swan because they are related to ducks which the VA Allegra Clark loves.
I call cat. I love cats. Allegra loves cat. My Inquisitor loves cats. And Josephine loves cats (truth until proven otherwise :3).

What greater gift than the love of a cat?
Charles Dickens.

Alternately, we learn that Otranto wasn't as graceful a loser as he appeared to be and instead hired the Crows to "save" her from you... and for those who romanced her as a Mage, this puts you in the position of the "evil wizard" who's he believes has bewitched her?

Yes. You walk into her office for your reports (morning kiss), and when you open the door a swan runs out of the room. You then have to catch the swan. But, as the swan runs it drops notes that that say "The Maker wrath turn me into this" or if your a mage "The Inquisitor cursed me". When you catch the swan you will find the ransom note, And you will have to work with Leliana to get her back.
Ehhh I think he is more likely to just try and marry Yvette then try to woo Josie away from the PC.
Cause I mean 1 time he escapes with some dignity or a cut arm.
If he tries it again I think most Inquisitors are just going to go Rocky 4 on him and say : I must break you.
I mean we dont do Monty Python shout outs can we at least do Rocky shout outs?
I think Otranto is the honorable sort. He basically bows out of the duel after he realizes the two characters love each other, and that it wasn't just a fling. Having him hire the Crows to off you in the DLC would be out of character, IMO.
He ended up being one of my favorite minor characters in the game.
