Too bad Connections is such a useless tree aside from the dialogue perk.
All it gives are a bunch of discounts.
Nonsense, the Short List is ama~zing

That one is way too random.
That one is way too random.
We're talking about the same perk, right? The one that unlocks that top-tier secret items in merchants' inventories? Those items are the same every time, they're not random.
They changed for me.

There is a random element in whether they will show or not and if they do show, in what category (weapons, armor, ingredients, schematics, etc.)
The perks are a part of judging the speciality, but also who you send on missions the most, how many agents you have for that person, and some other things. Like right now on my current speciality is connections, but I only have two perks on Josephine so far (Nobility knowledge and Short List)

Yuppers. Main playthrough I only took 2 perks as well, but still ended up with Connections on top.
I wonder if an Inquisition focused on Secrets will become the MI6 of Thedas? ![]()

That would be neat! ![]()
What were your guys Inquisition focus anyway?
As I said I'd get Connections everytime, which is funny because I hate politics ![]()

In my first playthrough it was Forces I think.
I still have to actually complete my other playthroughs ![]()
How are you supposed to be able to determine during a playthrough what your specialty is? It shows up during the ending slideshow, I know that, but I wasn't aware you could check it in the game somehow.

I only have one complete playthrough so far. That was my canon run with a male Trevelyan & Josie. On that I ended up with Forces.

Blackwall has dialogue that will indicate which one is the primary focus at the time you speak with him. I believe you have to ask him about his thoughts on the Inquisition. If Forces is ahead he'll say something like you field an army that would make the world tremble, if it's Connections he says something about Josephine managing to make the Inquisition everyone's best friend. Not sure what he says for Secrets.
My canon playthrough is secrets, while another one is connections...even though I romanced josie in my canon playthrough. I've yet to get forces, but nearly all of my perks and agents are in forces, meanwhile I upgraded maybe one thing in secrets and My inquisition still ended up master spies lolWhat were your guys Inquisition focus anyway?

I wonder if an Inquisition focused on Secrets will become the MI6 of Thedas?
Only if I get to wear a tux and bowtie in Skyhold instead of those awful pyjamas.
Actually, just the bowtie would suffice, because bowties are cool. ![]()
Not sure what he says for Secrets.
That the Inquisition has everyone looking over their shoulder, or something along the lines.
Does the repeatable operations count towards the end result? My focus i currently forces and I have used Cullen to gather money alot.

Thanks! I always got the comment about Josephine so I didn't realize it could change. XD I really like going the diplomatic route, obviously.

My inclination would be not, because I used Cullen a lot to gather resources and money too, but I'm not certain.
I never knew that it could change, I always ended up with Forces? How do you get Diplomacy or Secrets?

I'm not sure how you get them, but if you check here: https://www.youtube....MacRSZpiEhuXhNk
Videos # 33, 34 and 35 show all possible variations of the ending, including the focus of the Inquisition.

It depends on who you use the most on Wartable missions I reckon.

It might.

I dunno, I ended with Forces in my first playthrough, despite using Leliana and Josephine more than Cullen?
I think it might be tied to how many agents you recruit for each advisor?
