Yes.
No nudity or a sex scene though, if that's what you are asking.
Who needs needs to see her naked when it is more fun to picture what is behind all those ruffles in your mind. Josephine is like a silk rose covered in layer upon layer of gold and blue silk petals.

Hanako there's something I've been wondering. I know you are not fond of companions getting together, but I was curious if Josephine's engagement bothered you as well? I'm not trying to start something I promise its just something I'm quite curious about.

Are you talking about that ESRB rating description? I'm guessing that must be in the game somewhere, since some of the other things are, like Bull's hilarious declaration that, "'I will bring myself sexual pleasure later, while thinking about this with great respect." The ESRB rating never said what characters were involved in that scene, so it is probably one of the other romances.
None of the romances have implied fellatio. The closest is Sera's romance, but both are female so can't be what they were referring too. So it must be somewhere not expected. Sort of like with the The Iron Bull line being expected to be in a romance but is in a scene that has nothing to do with romance. That or it was going to be in one of the romances but was cut at the end. Definitely not Josephine though since the writer never wanted a sex scene in her romance arc.

I'll reply via PM. I'm tired of being laughed at when I post on threads about this.

Hmm... I was surprised, not disapointed. I liked the romance, how there were complications about Leliana. It was just that before the game was released the community was all about "finally we got mature nudity, etc. etc."
What I liked the most was that it felt more organic than I thought it would. I thought I'd romance Sera, but my character ended up matching with Josie a lot more. Sera was just too wacky for her.

Not relating to Josephine anyway, but I beat Inquisition on Nightmare!
AWESOME! I was planning on making a nightmare run after finishing my Hard one. But seems like I'm doing neither because Persona 4 Golden is draining my life.

Thanks. It was frustrating at parts but exhilarating at others. Going from Casual to Nightmare was quite a leap.

That's pretty much why I stopped playing on Casual since Dragon Age 2 xD (plus I got older and started taking games a lot more seriously).
I played a lot on Hard and while the beginning was incredibly frustrating- especially the Envy demon, I'm doing well now.

I mostly play on the easier difficulties since I play more for story than gameplay.
Yeah, once specializations and good schematics appear it gets less frustrating mostly.

Well, he is much better than Thom Rainier at least. Otranto seems like a very good man.
Blackwall became a good man; the person we meet simply isn't the Thom Rainier who committed that crime years ago. Blackwall joined the Inquisition when he heard that the Inquisitor was working to help stop the crisis with the Breach, and gave himself up to save the life of another man, Mornay, because he didn't want someone else to pay for his mistake.
Yeah. It would be neat if there was a scene where Leliana apologizes and realizes the Inquisitor was sincere about their feelings towards Josephine. Sort of like how Wynne will apologize for her earlier comments in DAO in regards to you and your LI.
Isabela is similarly protective of Merrill when she threatens to cut off Hawke's balls if he hurts her; I think Leliana was simply worried about her friend, but I could see a follow up conversation adding more context to the relationship.

I don't want to discuss Rainier in this thread. Nothing good will come of it and this place is a thread that has never gone negative so would prefer to keep it that way.

I understand that. I was just saying that like Wynne apologizing it would be neat if Leliana did the same. Helps give more context like you said.

Dorian reciprocates Iron Bull's advances and innuendos. Josephine is okay with him giving gifts but she does not reciprocate his affections. Hence me connecting to Iron Bull and Cassandra. Cassandra gently rejects Bull but says she is okay with the flirting as long as Bull is aware that this will not lead to anything else. That is the signal Josie sends to Blackawall. Sort of like a friendzone if you will.
Nope. She leaves him her favors around for him to find, as revealed in ambient conversation. She explains to the Inquisitor exactly what their affections towards each other are -- they are known, and respected. Also, the way she giggles at the War Table with Leliana about it is pretty telling.
Blackwall also isn't being "friendzoned" (god I hate that term). He knows just as well that he cannot be with Josephine.

I find it actually very sad personally. Which is why I can't bring myself to not romance Josephine. It just makes me so sad thinking about it, and therefore I don't want to see it in game (and I'm also too stubborn to not recruit everyone, especially since I don't hate any of the inner circle members.) And I really don't want to romance Blackwall either. Nothing on him or anything, but it just doesn't work with the way his storyline goes for me.
I've been trying to brave a Nightmare run (for the achievement, just five more to go!) but I've been too busy trying to experiment with different builds. My Aunt thinks I'm crazy because I replay the game so much. xD

My understanding is that this is what "courtly love" is? Reciprocated affection that cannot be acted upon due to the rules/mores of society/culture?

Yes, that's exactly what it is. She explains it herself to the Inquisitor.
"It is when a passion is known, but cannot be consummated -- even though the would-be lovers wish it with all their yearning." No "friendzoning," it's to "acknowledge love's power" while allowing them to retain dignity.

It was likely a more literary convention than a reality. I mean, even Lancelot and Guinevere gave in to their passions eventually. But it was still a thing.

True, but Blackwall and Josephine aren't "most medieval people", and even if courtly love was more often an idea for the breach rather than the observance it was still, at least sometimes, exactly what it was supposed to be: some degree of mutual affection or attraction that "could not be" and was not acted upon. Saying courtly love rarely happened that way is not the same thing as saying that it could not happen that way.

Right, Courtly love may have been an ideal that was rarely ever achieved, but that didn't stop stories from being written about it.
