This isn't my best pic, it's a bit blurry, but it should probably go here.

I asked her this earlier, but she said she didn't want to answer that since it would imply there was a correct choice on which gender, race, and/or class to use. She said instead to use whatever combination the player thinks is best.
Well, it's clearly the Human Noble. (More specifically, MY Human Noble.) Josie deserves better than some filthy commoner!

My Qunari Mage Inquisitor sweeping Josephine off her feet disagrees
:
More seriously, I think the ability to romance Josephine with any Inquisitor is one of the romance's strong points because each background can give the romance a bit of a different flavor/angle (even if it is mostly headcanon).

She's dumbstruck by that Qunari height, though. Among other things, apparently. When it comes to Adaar, Josephine's basically a super classy Sera.
I'm more biased for my Female Dwarf with Josie.
I would post a picture but lolXBox360.
I tend to go Male Human Warrior/Rogue with Josephine, but that is mainly because then I can headcanon them getting married without it conflicting with the lore(even if the lore is stupid on that subject).

I debated between romancing her with a female dwarf or qunari for the longest time before release. Eventually, I settled on the qunari because I wanted to play a mage in my first playthrough and I was definitely romancing Josephine first. ![]()

I've seen several articles about queerness in DA:I. I keep biting my tongue and wanting to take issue with Josephine's invisibility in them.
Allegra Clark @SimplyAllegra 36m36 minutes ago
I worry that it comes across as self-centeredness for me to protest this, but bi erasure *IS* such an issue that I need to say it.
Allegra Clark @SimplyAllegra 35m35 minutes ago
Josephine is bisexual. This doesn't disappear if your Inquisitor is male or if she's unromanced (and thereby attracted to Blackwall).
Allegra Clark @SimplyAllegra 34m34 minutes ago
That aspect of her identity is important, and @Sylvf1 did an amazing job of writing it respectfully, and I hate seeing it overlooked.
Allegra Clark @SimplyAllegra 32m32 minutes ago
I know bisexual characters aren't strictly novel in DA (which is A+), but that doesn't make other characters' sexualities more "important."
Allegra Clark @SimplyAllegra 31m31 minutes ago Seattle, WA
CASE IN POINT: Josie doesn't balk at the idea of a relationship with Leliana because "ew girls" but because "EW SHE'S BASICALLY MY SISTER."
Allegra Clark @SimplyAllegra 31m31 minutes ago Seattle, WA
And if that's too subtle, and you needed her to go "but you know I still like ladies just not that lady" then dang, people. Dang.
@SimplyAllegra @Sylvf1 that's wrong, you're right to point that out.

@SimplyAllegra It was why I supported our move away from all bisexual romances. It came up a lot when I was at PAX 2013.
Allegra Clark @SimplyAllegra 24m24 minutes ago Seattle, WA
@AllanSchumacher Yeah, how bisexuality could be interpreted as playersexuality, which is unfair. I appreciated the change as well.

I really don't know how to take this string of tweets.
On one hand, I want to be supportive of what she says about bisexual erasure being a problem.
On the other hand, I am depressed because she pretty much did what Gaider did.
I had to come here because I keep seeing posts in other threads which state that either Josie or her romance is boring, and I need a place to say that is SO NOT TRUE. She's a gem and her romance is a thing of beauty. The latter gets a further round of applause from me for being able to be plausibly played as asexual; I'm a member of that community and the opportunity to stop at kisses and cuddling, with no pressure from the LI to go further, left me squeeing with glee. Thanks to whoever wrote the character, and to Ms. Clark (*waves from across Puget Sound*), for making her so wonderful!

Welcome to the thread, new Scribbler. I am glad you enjoy Josephine.

I understand David said the same thing about Merril? Meh at this point I just try to block out as many comments/remarks/whatever and just enjoy the game, and talk to those who enjoy it as well.
how did I miss this. It's an amazing art and just keeps my day dream about seeing Josie let down her hair after a hard day of work ![]()

What did Gaider do?

I think what most of the complainers mean was "I did not get to see her boobies." They just don't phrase it that way for fear of criticism or being mocked.
She's got no less content than some of the other LIs, and the scenes she did get are are as well written and acted as the others. The only difference is that she didn't get a sex scene. And really, that's what they are complaining about.

Oh, at GaymerX this year he put the whole concept of playersexuality down by stating that Anders, Fenris, Isabela, and Merrill are all bisexual. This was bad news for me because I saw Merrill as the same orientation I see myself as so doing that was removing the representation I thought I had.

Tbf, I think most of the romances are boring, so me saying Josephines is kind of meh is not really that much of an insult in the grand scheme. Here showing her ****** won't change that. Overall, Josephine's still a great character and one of the few Inquisition members I would be able to tolerate being around in real life.
Apologies in advance for the presumption, but...
Hanako doesn't like the suggestion that an NPC romance might ever be romantically interested in anyone other than the player character, even if the player character never romances that NPC. Due to her...interesting...beliefs on the subject of romantic love, a character that expresses such interest or past interest in others is impossible for Hanako to romance.

I can see how that might suck. And from a RP perspective it's always nice to be able to headcanon things about your PC. But from the perspective of a writer who feels strongly about authorial intent, I don't mind Gaider clarifying things about his NPC . The NPC have lives of their own, personalities and traits the writers put a great deal of effort into illuminating. All we can do as consumers of art is get to know and appreciate them - both the good and the ugly - for what they are, rather than what we'd like them to be.
