I wonder what Clan Lavellan would think of Josephine, and what she would think of them? Especially now that Wycome is an example of Dalish/city elf/human cooperation being perfectly possible.

We have confirmation about what Josephine did as a bard.

Apparently her stint as a bard was extremely short-lived, considering the shenanigans bards get up to. Josephine would be a lot less innocent if that wasn't the case.

What do you think? Personally I've never played a dalish, nor was I ever into their lore/personalities.
My guess is that the Clan might respect Lavellan's choices, and some might even admire her.

Otranto seems to be a decent man, but I doubt he could accept a duel of honor with him.
Maybe it's because I'm playing Game of Thrones (the Telltale version), but I suspect Otranto wouldn't duel anyone without a strong title or house behind them. Otranto stood to make a name for himself in the North if he bested the rising power of Southern Thedas, so that's plenty impetus to accept the challenge. But if the Inquisitor was just some random horned mercenary, dwarf criminal, or Dalish elf forced into the Inquisition's service? I seriously doubt Otranto would have spent the ship fare to even send a human messenger to say "thanks, but no thanks." He might have sent a bird, though ![]()
I suppose that raises the question of whether Josephine would have been so reckless as to become involved a serious romantic relationship (one worth breaking an engagement for) with the Inquisitor if they were non-human and never recieved have a proper title ( seeing as though human quiz starts off as a titled noble). A bit in the episode I just played reminded me how practical nobles must be when it comes to these matters...

Or the Bards as a group have more breadth than we have been shown in previous games and books.

Guess I'll post this here, someone ripped this track from the game.
Cool that she got her own theme.
Sweet, I thought this song was very fitting for Josephine's romance. But is she really the only LI with her own special score?

That's an interesting question, Xil. I suppose it depends on whether or not she's tried to learn more about the Dalish, their culture, and their beliefs; I can imagine there would be some cultural fopas if she hasn't. It's possible Keeper Deshanna Istimaethoriel may get along with her, and I imagine they could relate to trying to deal with a myriad of Andrastian shemlen who need to be approached diplomatically, albeit under different circumstances. My elven Inquisitor was friendly enough with her.

I've learned something that actually helps the duel scene a lot: if you have Underworld Knowledge and use it to dig up dirt on Lord Otranto, you can enrage him by pointing it out in the duel, screwing with his focus and enabling you to score first blood. By that point, it's not impossible that the Inquisitor would have actually won the duel.

I really loved that little scene. Mind over Matter indeed.
Plus, my Adaar was a rogue and would've pulled off the gloves before Josie stopped the fight. (Otherwise, this would've been a repeat of Bronn vs Ser Vardis in GOT)

YES
A FULL VERSION!!
Ye, team Josie decided that the official romance theme didn't fit her romance. So they reused the track from Dragon Age Redemption. Until now we only had like 50 seconds of it, I'm so over the moon ![]()

I believe she is, yes. Everyone else has the regular romance theme if I recall correctly.

You know, Josephine is someone who is actually capable of forgiving people who made mistakes and are committed to changing themselves. Tis' truly a shame that her fans aren't.
The very people who call Blackwall a creep for not wanting to talk to Josephine even though he might have feelings for her...Remind me of the high-and-might-overly-entitled women in real life who would creep shame an introverted guy for not being brave enough to make the move, if you will....Blackwall has not done anything that could be classified creepy...He just admired from afar and we actually mainly learn about this because Cole gets in people's head and because Varric notices...

Sera had just been confirmed as same sex only so I was rethinking my options (I'm a sucker for blonde elves) (but her personality turned out to be quite obnoxious to me anyway), then the first trailer got released and there was this war table scene with everyone in it. Josephine was one of the first who caught my eyes. After a bit I just started having this feeling that she might actually be 'the one'

Given that Josephine was a bard and ended up killing another bard, and one of her best friends was a bard for many years, I don't think that she would hold a grudge against Blackwall over who he once was; I think she's well aware that people can change.
It's been a long time since Blackwall has spent such an extended period of time around people; it seems like he's mostly lived by himself since he took on the mantle of Blackwall, and only spent short periods of time around other people (like the farmers he helped train in Lothering). He's also carrying a lot of guilt over what happened. However, Blackwall isn't the only one who has made a misstep; Josephine seems oblivious to what the elven Inquisitor is saying about the cultural schism between Andrastian shemlen and Dalish elves, and misses the point by bringing up "different circles", which came across as offensive to some people. Her heart seems to be in the right place much of the time (which is also true for Blackwall), but both characters are capable of making social missteps.

Didn't know much about Josephine when I got the game, and I didn't plan on seriously romancing anyone my 1st PT. Plan thwarted after quiz got to Skyhold and read that letter Josephine writes to the workers after there's a tragic accident. My quiz was very pragmatic ( didn't save the Chargers, gave a nice lie to the public about what took place in the fade) when it came to leading the Inquisition, but not unfeeling. She didn't relish the political aspect of leadership, but took it seriously because of Josephine's influence. Probably because it felt like she was the only human quiz didn't completely dislike or distrust in her time at Haven. I had to figure out why this Vashoth sellsword, who was probably feared by humans her whole life and even looked down on by elves and dwarves, would care about leading them anywhere except off a tall cliff. Barring lots of gold, which no one mentioned paying
, the only reason I found was Josephine. It was really a pleasant surprise that the perfect political partner had such a sweet romance.
