Has she actually told you she's engaged yet? If no, it should trigger automatically. Try leaving Skyhold and complete a quest somewhere before returning, that worked for me. If yes there will be a mission on the war table called "Challenge Lord Ortranto to a duel". Once that's completed you'll have to go speak to Ortranto's envoy in the courtyard and once you've done that go to Val Royeaux and you'll get the duel.

She hasn't said anything yet. And will any quest do or do I need to hit a major plot line like Here Lies the Abyss/Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts? I'm really hoping mine isn't wonky, I'll be so sad! Thanks for the reply btw!

Any quest should do - it worked for me doing any quest. However I had completed Here Lies the Abyss by that point, plus some companion quests don't trigger until you complete a major plot line so maybe it's better to do one just to be on the safe side. No problem!

If I recall, it has to be one of the two main quests completed before her engagement is brought up. I recommend doing Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts.

Her first personal quest should be available shortly after getting to Skyhold. Go out and do a little exploring and/or a minor quest then come back and she should mention it. You don't need to do any of the main quests for it to unlock after getting to Skyhold.

Idk I prefer blue+yellow. Generally because that colour combination usually implies nobility.

 

Since green is my favorite colour, I personally volunteer to buy Josie a beautiful green dress.

I never really felt that way. In fact I felt Josie had a bit more content with the 2 bed-room cuddle scenes and the post-final-battle hug.


Oh and off-topic, but I just got my first term university grades today and I scored straight As Worth noting that I may or may not have spent more time (a lot more) playing Dragon Age Inquisition rather than study <.<

Yeah, I can get behind that. I would love it if there was a bit more meat to the romance arc, but as it is I'm fine with it.

Well, I guess my preferred method would be giving her different personal quest. Out of all the ones present in the game, hers is the most meh for me, despite really liking her character. The other personal quests offer this big moment for the characters involved, but Josie's is rather understated. Nothing there feels all that interesting, especially compared to the others.
