You know... I'm considering letting Celene die and having Briala rule through Gaspard in this playthrough, but one of the things making me nervous about it is that it seems likely to upset Josephine... but does it, actually? Or is this another thing that just mysteriously passes by with no reaction?

Similar to all the advisors, I believe that her reaction to who ends up on the throne is basically the same regardless. There may be some slight alteration in the dialogue, but it would be slight.

He rearranges your face, and then breaks your heart. That is kind of a dick move in my book.
The breaking your heart is, definitely.
But my Dalish Elf will always be thankful of him removing the Vallaslin "Property Of" tattoo off of her face.

Seconded. The only reason I play my elf female is because I'm presented with an awesome roleplay option that I've always wanted, and since there are no city elves...

Yes. But, if your boyfriend makes you get rid of your tattoo, and then five seconds latter breaks up with you, it is still a bad move. What if she got the face tattoo to make her look just like her mother who died in a hunting accident? She can't get that back. The Dalish will think she is a city elf, and send run her through the woods screaming.

Yeah. We were stuck with not only being Dalish but a Pro-Dalish Dalish. Still one of the worst things about Inquisition. ![]()

Except that is not the reason she got the tattoo. The Dalish Inquisitor got the tattoo ass a rite of passage to being an adult in the eyes of the Dalish.
Plus you can elect to keep the tattoo. He doesn't remove it regardless.

I know that. It is just, he tells you're beautiful, and then rips your heart out.
I also, right of passage...Killing the rabbit that killed your mother. Tomato tomahto.

I've been converted from Solas to Josephine. She's just such a lovable person, and Solas is, upon examination, kind of a dick. It feels like I dropped the Illusive Man in favor of Kelly Chambers and I have no regrets.
But don't people love the bad boys, the jerks and the intellects ? I mean characters like Lex Luthor and Spock are popular for a reason.

It depends. Bad guys like Lex Luthor are fun because they are so over the top while characters like Spock are entertaining because they contrast with hot blooded types like Dr. McCoy. Solas doesn't really bounce off of anyone and he's pretty low key. The mental chess match against Iron Bull was good though.

I've made a bit more peace with Josephine's romance and am certainly running with it with my elf, but am fairly scared that it'll never be followed up on in DLC or anything.
I hope not. They did a good job giving them equal content as the companions so I hope it stays that way in the DLC cycle too.

I'd be surprised if they didn't give more content to the adviser romances, considering how massively popular Cullen is.

I was taking shots of my inquisitor, but I also catched Josephine blushing thanks to the flirt option and some compliments. I thought I could share with her fans :

Happy Easter! do you think Josie would rather go egg hunting or paint eggs?
Hmm, that's a good question. I think she would prefer finding the eggs, especially if it involves challenges like riddles or wordplay or something. Yvette would be the egg painter. Plus I think Josephine would be one to practice more the actual meaning of Easter than the commercialized one.

The rites of spring? Egg hunting is just a modern take on the same mythos.

Fair enough. I just meant seeing how strong an Andrastian she is, if Thedas had an Easter-like holiday for Andraste rather than Jesus she would be more into that than the rites of Spring.

She seems to be... moderately Andrastian, from what I can tell. She certainly doesn't seem to have any particular fondness for the Chantry, seeing as how one of her war table operations basically involves robbing them (the one you get for having a Chantry garden). She wants to believe in the Herald of Andraste, but doesn't seem to have any major issues about accepting the truth when it's revealed.

Being Andrastian doesn't mean supporting the Chantry. That's what Dorian says when asked about if he has faith.

Where do you see Josephine as being particularly Andrastian? She seems less so than Leliana and Cullen, to me, and probably just on Dorian's level.

Well, she believes in Andraste and the Maker for starters.

Right, but that's just the baseline human population in southern Thedas. Basically I was disagreeing with the notion of her being strongly Andrastian.

She is a leading member of an organization who has devoted itself to serving Andraste and her Herald. You don't do that if you aren't a strong member of that belief.
