Remember my drunken model Empress Celene. I was looking at her and she a has a makeup defect. I could have made some money off her in twenty years if I she was still in the box. Why did I not pick up that her lips were pink and not red?

Mmh. What would Josie like best? A big fancy party or a night at home? With possibly a foot rub.

She would like a fancy party is she it not the host because throwing a part sucks for the person throwing it. I would say she like cuddling at the fire with a cup of tea, and the Inquisitor for body pillow.

Is it wrong of me to want DLCs that would give some closure of sorts to Josie's romance arc ?
I mean, you do a lot for her throughout her arc, especially if you choose the non violent approach only to end up at the first base and be stuck at the first base.
I hope if there is any DLCs, it gives a good implication that Inky and Josie do more than just have fireplace dates. Solas romance has this line where Solas goes "I am grim and fatalistic. Getting you into bed is just an enjoyable side benefit". I hope we get something like that from Josie in the DLCs.
One of the biggest appeal of Cassandra despite her flaws is that she goes third base with your Inquisitor and stays there unless your Inky is a douchebag.

It's not wrong of you to hope for that, but I hope for the opposite. I love how there is finally a romance that leaves the level of intimacy up to the player rather than having it so there is no doubt they have sex. Her writer wrote her in that way on purpose, so I don't see her changing her approach in DLCs.

Doesn't Josie have a line during the Arbor Wilds segment that implies a physical relationship with the Inquisitor? It's like the Solas dialogue- allowing the player to control how the relationship has progressed. I like that there are more ambiguous romances this time around, and more LIs who are cool with putting off sex until later. ![]()

The player can choose an option that insinuates it. Josephine never brings it up herself.

The diplomat or the spy's approach?

So, what did you guys decide in the quest "Of Somewhat Fallen Fortune"?
The diplomat or the spy's approach?
I went with the diplomatic route.
The assassin was fairly chivalrous as far as hired killers go. Rather than just ambushing Josephine he gives fair warning and time to get the contract sorted. I had the Inquisitor extend the same courtesy. Plus I liked that you also sort of get this century old feud resolved by elevating the Montilyet's former enemies back to nobility.

Diplomat
If things can be solved peacefully then thats the route I always take, on my main character anyway.
Plus it's the route Josie herself wanted to take.

I did not kill the assassin but I made Leliana send her agents to dispose the House of Repose's contract on the Montilyets.

I went with Josephine's route for a few reasons.
I try to avoid bloodshed when possible(one reason I love the Deus Ex franchise is because you can go the whole games without killing anyone except maybe bosses).
My character was very supportive of diplomacy.
It's how Josephine wanted to handle it.

I went with Leliana in my first playthrough, but diplomatic in all my subsequent playthroughs because it was nice to end the feud once and for all.
I let the assassin go because it was decent enough of him to give the warning in person, rather than lure us into a trap to carry out the hit, which he honestly could have done if he'd been so inclined? And he did seem sincere when he admitted to rooting for her to find some way to void the contract?

these are good reasons
I often like to say that a protestation of "it isn't personal" is generally a load of garbage that you say to assuage your own conscience about something, and that if it really wasn't personal you wouldn't screw the other person over (or kill, or whatever) in the first place
by comparison, the Repose assassassassbite arguably violates the terms of the contract (although technically I suppose we don't know what they actually are) in issuing the warning and providing a considerable amount of information to the target, which indicate an actual tension between personal feelings and financial/legal obligation far beyond the usual "well I would rather not but LOL WHO AM I KIDDING DIE"
that tension doesn't do much good for the agent that dies infiltrating Skyhold, but we can't have everything

Maybe he was planning to ambush her, but realized he probably didn't want to take a risk with the inquisitor.

It was the comte who invited the Inquisitor; the assassin got wind of this and replaced him before the Inquisitor and Josephine got there.

My Adaar (main inquisitor who romanced Josephine) let the assassin go as a token of gratitude, but had Leliana send her agents to destroy the documents. She wasn't willing to waste time placating Orlesian nobility while Josephine's life was in danger.

Has anyone posted this yet? Because honestly, it makes me laugh. The Inquisition really does put the Montilyet family in a good position, even more so if Josie is romanced. Calculated? ![]()
