And yet Cullen has one, the last minute add on excuse doesn't work there
I'll say the same thing about Solas' romance, then.

I firmly disagree. You can set the pace of other romances in the game and still have sex scenes involved, and the same could--and should--have been done here. Also, a female PC would be unable to marry Josephine.
Josephine is absolutely playersexual on the asexual/sexual spectrum.
Could have been done. Sure. Should have been done is debateable. A sex scene is not required for a romance in a video game nor does it remove Josephine's agency or make her asexual. She's bi. There is no debate there. Just because her romance is more "conservative" doesn't change that. There are people who are heterosexual who hold off on sex. There are people who are asexual who have sex regularly.
And I never said anything about a female PC marrying Josephine. I said there are people--as in players--who believe in sex after marriage. Surely, there are men who believe that and play male Trevelyans.

Then your trying way too hard for a non-existent "problem" on a personal level

I think that Josephine doesn't have enough agency in the rest of the romance, either, because the PC tramples Josephine's request to solve the engagement issue. I also don't think that Josephine being bisexual/not asexual is established nearly well enough for it to not be playersexuality.

Josephine's agency is an overall issue. It's something that could have easily been fixed if she was just given more content in general. And that's the major problem. But a sex scene isn't the way to fix that. It could have been an option--like in Dorian's romance--but it should be one of several additions to her character arc.
And I'm assuming you not thinking Josephine's bisexuality is established enough, is that you mean she doesn't speak of her sexuality? To be fair, most people don't bring up their sexual preferences unless it's relevant to a topic. Josephine doesn't have any such conversations. She's not like Isabela who is open about sex. She's more like Merrill. It's not important; she has other things to discuss. Not every one of my friends knows my sexuality. I don't feel it's something I need to establish with people. It's less realistic for someone to announce, "Oh by the way, I'm bisexual."

The fact that Merrill has a sexuality is actually established by the fact that she does so with Hawke; Joesphine has no such luck. And while it wouldn't be the one thing to fix it, it would have helped a fair bit.

So kissing the Inquisitor, the fire place scene and talking about how they care for either other doesn't establish this?

Being sexual? Not in itself.

At this point I can't tell if your trolling or just trying way to hard, like you do in the Sera thread

At least I'm not making personal attacks.

Well, really, unless Josephine comes out and says "Eenquisitorr, I don't do the sex", it's kinda fair to assume that Josephine is a sexual person to some degree, albeit more reserved than her associates. It kinda goes to the Disney Princess-ness of her romance in general. We assume that characters in a Disney romance are sexual, yet there is never an actual sex scene and might only kiss once before the credits roll.
Besides, the Inquisitor hasn't gone through the necessary protocols to progress further.

But Disney characters don't display sexuality because they can't, due to the restrictions of the medium. Josephine has no such restrictions, yet is never sexual; it's not an unreasonable assumption to think that things are different with her.
And what necessary protocols?
And what necessary protocols?
Passing Leliana's Q&A, finishing a war table operation or two to establish ties between the Inquisition and the Montilyets and perhaps establishing new trade and making deals with shipwrights to get their trading fleet up and running. The usual.

But nothing sexual is ever alluded to even after that.

You can imply it by choosing a dialogue option in What Pride had Wrought

What exactly is the option and the response?

Something about having more "alone" time or like that, don't fully remember
What exactly is the option and the response?
I had to load a save pre-Arbor Wilds but it's if you choose the "We'll celebrate alone later" dialogue option.
Inquisitor: Once we're home, we'll spend quite some time in private.
Josephine: Shhh! How can you think of that now?
Inquisitor: How can I not?
Josephine: We'll... We'll arrange something after. Return once you can.
Suggestive dialogue, even more suggestive intonation.

That's... quite the stretch, and I really can't say that it's enough. Especially since Josephine is, once again, a bloody passive recipient. Sometimes it seems like you're romancing a couch, but the worst part is that you make her a couch in the duel scene by cutting off her own work and preferences.
Well there is this,
I think it was made on purpose because most of the bisexuals are rogues or have dark pasts and do not shy way from casual sex. I think it was a nice change from the usual archetype.
So Josephine is confirmed bisexual and not asexual/demisexual? Noted.

Of course you would

Sorry about the reminder.
It's okay.

Yes, unfortunately. ![]()

Josephine: I love you, Inquisitor.
Inquisitor: I know.

So is this an accurate glimpse into their relationship a few years from now then?

Wow. It wasn't my intention to kick start that debate. This probably going to have to be an agree to disagree situation, since we clearly didn't have the same reaction to this romance arc. You're arguments are not invalid, I just did not feel the same when I went through this story, obviously. Different strokes. There are a lot of romance choices is this games and they are not all going to work for everybody.
Anyway, romance or no, I'm a pretty big Josie fan. I hope most of us can agree on that.
