With respect, I think that your opinion may be skewed by your demisexuality. Said fantasies are extremely common among the human population, to the point that the term "creep" would lose any real meaning if applied so widely.

This. For myself, I can't conceive of wanting a sexual relationship with someone without thinking about it first, and liking where those thoughts lead.

I wouldn't generally label myself a creep. :P

If you're a creep for fantasizing about people you're not in a sexual relationship with, Hanako, then the vast, VAST majority of human beings are creeps.

Well we are all abit creepy by definiton, but that makes us all creepy together. Nothing wrong with that.

And? The majority of human beings can be many negative things, so why not creeps?

Perhaps, but it doesn't make my viewpoint any less valid.

If we're all "creeps," then the word "creep" is meaningless.

So... why, then, is it inherently negative?

No. The fact that the majority of people are jerks for example does not make the word jerk or what it represents meaningless. It just means the majority of people have that negative trait.

Because drooling over another person as if they are a possession is a bad thing.

You can respect someone and drool over them at the same time. Not wanting to start anything, just... puttin' that out there.

Fantasizing about a person sexually is not the same as objectifying them, although I'm sure for some people (Christian Grey, was that his name?) they are the same thing.

For a lot of people, those fantasies are how they figure out they are attracted to someone. It's biological coding for folks with a sex drive to have those thoughts before they decide whether or not to pursue a romantic relationship.

I like parts of this video. "Sweet, soft and silky. Her dress, and also under her dress." The rest enrages me.

And this why I'd hate Cole with a passion if he existed in real life and was anywhere near me.

Except that's not (necessarily) the case.

Such fantasies can just as easily reflect a desire to share a pleasurable experience with said person.  Especially if such is unlikely to ever happen, for whatever reason.

The problem in this case is Cole, not understanding either the nature of the fantasy, blabs about it in public.

Sluggish PT continues to be sluggish. Tomorrow I shall go back 2 hours because I've realized there was a dialogue option I like better.

How can sexual attraction be creepy when it's caused by our own biology? Nature designed humans to want sex. Without it, our species would cease to exist.

Blackwall is normal. What it isn't normal is a spirit publicly blabbing about what would normally be private fantasies.

It:s from when you confront the blood mage that begs for mercy in Broken Circle.

I just thought that finishing the conversation with "You can die with dignity" sounds cooler and more morally good than "death will be your penance".

Also, the main reason why I didn't want to spare her was that I don't believe she truly wants to atone. The line I'd picked at first sounds a little like my character doesn't believe in redemption at all.

I traveled with Blackwall and Cole together most of my 2nd play-through and never heard this dialogue. Maybe it is because I was not romancing Josephine in that one?

Can't you really get mad at Blackwall for thinking this? Cole said it for him and I am sure that every party member in the game has thoughts like this, were Cole too say it out loud for them. Plus Cole does not think about the effect of what he says could have because he does not really think that way.

Anyway, here is my video of romancing Josephine.

I have a bunch of other DA:I clips as well as stuff from other games if you want to check that out.

Exactly. That's one of the reasons I take issue with so much being labelled "problematic" these days: if everything is, then nothing is. Blackwall desires Josephine. That doesn't make him a monster, or a creep, or a predator, it just means he's interested in her. When did the mere notion of a man longing for a woman become something so abhorrent?

A man fantasizing about a woman he finds attractive is not creepy. To be a creep he'd have to do things like sniff her hair or make blatant references to sexual activity with her. Kinda like this guy:

Now that is a creep! (Mero from Game of Thrones.)

I didn't intend for a whole debate to spawn from this, and I'd rather we stop now. I fear furthering it will just lead to aggravation and I would rather not have that in this thread. If the conversation must continue, PMs would be preferable.

Ah, okay. Too bad that means you have to go through DAO's Fade section again though, since I know a lot of people don't like that section.

I wouldn't have minded DA:O's fade section if it was shorter. I think what makes it so frustrating is how long it is. Unlike DA:I's version of the fade it also wasn't interesting visually.
