Indeed these are the last couple of days where we can actually still make guesses about her name:
I'm going for Elizabeth or Jacklyn
The Official Josephine Montilyet aka 'Scribbles' Thread - The Disney Princess of Dragon Age!

It's an odd thought to think one day soon we will not be calling her scribbles.
This reminds me of Fenris. He used to be Meg, way back when.

True someone to lighten the mood would be nice which is why we at least have Sera to add a sense of humor.

Fenris used to be Meg? Oh how I wish I could have been there during the days leading up to DA:II's release.
It is going to be weird not referring to her as Scribbles, I'm still getting used to Blackwall, and his nicknames were neither around for as long, nor as prominant as "Scribbles".

I'm calling... Biff.
Her name will be Biff. Biff de Tanere.
Nope... sorry, it is most definitely beyond all shadow of doubt going to be... Martine MacFleur ![]()

Well I think "Goldie" would suit her...but it doesn't sound very serious for somebody in her position.
maybe as a nickname?
I must say I don't think much about Scribbles , she looks a bit severe.I hope she's not.
So far Leliana , Cassandra , Cullen are well...I guess you need serious people to do that kind of job.
I hope Scribbles will be a bit more cool , and funny .I mean she deals with politics...
And I'm sure Vivienne will lecture my Inquisitor about all that stuff...well the orlesian part of that anyway.
I feel like my inquisitor is going to end up surrounded by a bunch of nannies with their look on their face"We disaprove."
I hope she isn't all business all the time. I can see her being one who wears a serious mask when working but when not working being more relaxed. Sort of like how I picture Blackwall I guess.

Yup, lol. If I recall correctly, it started with a throwaway piece of concept art in a magazine article. He was dubbed Mysterious Elf Guy and things evolved from there.
I remember there being similar sentiments about his name finally getting revealed.

By the way , since I haven't really followed this thread , do you think she could be a mage?
I mean Cullen is a warrior , Leliana a rogue , ...possible she isn't a fighter.
But since she's probably going to be send on some mission?
I was just wondering.

She most certainly could be. The only thing suggesting she would be is a fan-driven desire for parity. Personally I hope she is simply a genius administrator.

I always pictured her as a little bit like Lorne from Angel, specifically Lorne during the 5th season, when he was in charge of public relations/employee morale for a company consisting of, and serving demonic hellspawn. Said job was certainly not made any easier by the fact that the company's president (and his close friend) had made it his life's mission to hunt down and kill said demonic hellspawn...
It sounds kind of like what Scribbles' job is going to be, and I bet she'll handle it similarly to the way Lorne did. With lots of fake smiles to appease outsiders, and lots of fretting over apparently pointless things (that actually aren't all that pointless) to the annoyance of her fellow advisers.

I wouldn't mind if she wasn't a fighter...but if we send her on some diplomatic mission and she gets into trouble.
It would be better if she knew how to fight.
Well I guess we can send soldiers with her.

I'm hoping for her to be some Rivaini girl with a head for administration and business... if she has to be some sort of combatant I'm hoping for a Seer (mage)

Honestly, I think I'm looking forward to Scribbles release more than anyone else's. It's that little air of mystery coupled with the fact that she seems likely to be a non-warrior, and therefore somewhat different from the other companions we've had.
Have to say I'm not sure I'll ever be able to look at her and NOT think Scribbles though. It's such great name, and we've been stuck with it for months now. Gaider himself once acknowledged the power of letting a name stick around, ("Thedas" being a good example) and I really hope that name makes it into the game in some form. "Prothy the Prothean" did, and that wasn't nearly as clever or fitting.

With her connection to diplomacy, I'd prefer her not being a Mage, Rogue, or Warrior. If she needs to use a weapon, she call always use an utility knife or something.

I don't think anyone has suggested her being a Seer before. That would be interesting if she was and her connections to spirits helped her with her diplomacy and trade negotiations. For example, her spirit friends could go to the other person's dreams and sense their thought pattern, relaying this to her and giving her the upper hand.

Well, it became super popular before all the VAs really started the heavy recording(some no recording at all yet) so if Bioware liked it they could have slipped it in or even like I hope made it Varric's or Cole's nickname for her. The fact even three Bioware devs have used it makes me hopeful.

Yes, she is in charge of the political and economic aspect of the Inquisition. So she handles things like trade, finances, and relations with nations and groups.
That's fantastic news! My Inquisitor is going to be super political and is going to try to use this situation to bring people together instead of sowing deceit and having Scribbles on my side is going to make me enjoy her character even more!
I also love economic aspects in games Fable 2 is one of my top 10 games and one of the reasons is its fun economic system so hopefully the game has something like that in it.
Now I'm hyped to hear more about this character.
