I just thought of a troll that would make me cry....what if they release news about Scribbles but only refer to her as such (Since the Devs now know he  nickname). So that we STILL don't know her name. It would make me sad.

 

It probably won't happen but... I though  bout it haha

I have no doubt we'll learn her name on Monday. The thing that makes me sad is that Scribbles most likely won't be her official nickname. Varric will probably come up with something completely different to which I'll just look blankly for a second and then realize: "Oh yeah, he's talking about her"

To be fair, we don't really have any idea if "Scribbles" is an appropriate nickname for her.  Maybe it fits her character; maybe not.  I guess we'll learn more tomorrow.  I'm actually really excited about learning more on her.

Usually I try to prevent myself from getting hyped up when I know nothing about the topic but... I admit, I'm falling for it.

Well, as Maria said we can't get our hands on her(hopefully in more ways than one  ) until the game comes out.

 

But yes, the name reveal, a few ingame images, and the brief description will come out tomorrow most likely.

A few different Devs have used it to refer to her, it has to be close.

This fact gives me hope that it might be in the game since the devs at least know of the name and that it popular enough that they can use it and most people will know who they are talking about. So they might realize it is popular enough to potentially be worthy of becoming her canon Varric or Cole nickname.

They called her “Scribe Girl.” It was a kinder name than what she heard as a child - “Nosy,” “Pest,” “Gnat.” All said with a sneer when she asked one too many questions (which was usually just one question alone).

But she had a thirst to know… anything and everything. Just to know *more.* There was a whole big bright dangerous world out there that she didn’t want to miss out on, logistics aside. She had read the works of Brother Genitivi and found them… excessive. Hyperbolic. Biased. “Drunken old sod,” she once declared him, tossing one of his volumes aside. She wanted the real stories, the truths that lay hidden or wrapped in rumor and fear.

As soon as she was able - old enough and strong enough to fend for herself with a blade, and holding enough coin in her pocket to get her a meal should she prove unable to forage one herself - she left home. Adventure came naturally, as did the expected danger, but she met it all with a gleam in her eye and that insatiable hunger for facts.

She began to amass a collection of notebooks - page upon page of hurried scribbles and more careful writings, penned while bouncing along in a wagon, or curled up by a campfire. Eventually, she acquired a wonderful device - a miniature printing press crafted by artificers that she won in a rather heated card game. Typeface was controlled by small keys, so one need only apply ink, supply paper, and with careful tapping motions, could produce fine-printed work. And the whole thing folded into a box that she could carry upon her back. Oh, the marvels of the wide and broad world! The chronicling of actual events, made all the easier.

And in time, she found her way to the famous Sun Gates…
