I am a newcomer on Mass Effect 1. It is a great game. I have some questions;

Question1;
I have read that you can upgrade your class e.g. Soldiers can upgrade to a Shock trooper or Commando, Adepts can upgrade to Bastion or Nemesis etc. How do I get these upgrades?

Question2:
Why does the health bar sometimes change from red to green - what does this mean?

First message on this board for me, even if i've been around for quite a while now... If Slimy Tench doesn't mind, i'll use his topic to ask my questions as well...



About the squad :

Is it possible to gain their trust without romancing them ? =3

And because i play as a MaleShep, i'm talking about the girls here...



What i mean is : will there necessarily be any problem if I choose to romance one girl over another… will the other one hate me ? O_o or is it still possible to be “just friends”. If I want a badass team with SuZe and Grunt while I’m romancing Miranda for example (or anybody else), is it doable ? Or Suze, when I learn to know her, will inevitably fall in love with me and hate me because I chose Miranda ?



I’m a bit confused… hope my explanations aren’t… >.<’

Answer to question 1 is you have to do a mission that Admiral Hackett asks you to go to Earths moon in the sol system of the local cluster & destroy a Rogue vi

question 2's answer is its when your characters get kinda poisened by toxic stuff the health bar goes green

Green is indeed poison. Means you're taking damage over time.

I'm 99.99% sure that you don't have to romance anyone to gain their trust, as long as you down rub it in their faces.

1. Quest given by the admiral after you hit a certain level, has to do with going to Local Cluster, hope that wasn't a spoiler.

2. Toxic, poison, radiation, such stuff.



3. As long as you don't cheat or anything, or romance both at same time, like with DA:O or ME1. It should be possible to just be friends with everybody with no romance.

The thing is, in ME1, for my first shep, i never tried anything with Ash… but at one point, Liara AND Ashley came to me saying : ok now YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE !!! but choose wisely… fatality...bla bla… And i even think Ash was the instigator...

So I was like wtf ?

But thanks anyway
