The leader of the collectors doesn't seem like a compelling main villain.

Atleast you saw Saren every now and again in ME1.
They could pull something like in Dragon age with Loghain, where it switches to him plotting his evil deeds, but still... I dont see The collectors as the kind of people who'd speak to each over.

I'll give you that. His voice is better than Sovereign's.

I seriously doubt he is actually the main villain.
Exactly my thoughts. By the way, judgeqwerty were you on the assassin's creed forums by any chance? I'm called Coolgerb over on those forums (an old nickname).

Then who is? A reaper? I doubt it, atleast for ME2. Its too predictable.

Indeed. He may just be one of many collectors with the ability to posess.JudgeQwerty wrote...

The small ones move in and stun, then the ground troops move in with the "posesser" as backup.

He doesn't seem that interesting to be honest. Unless he is able to communicate via the soldiers he 'possesses', how is going to present a threat right up until the final mission?

You decided that in the 15 seconds he appeared...
Amazing.

And it fits since Cerberus made Shepard all Inspector Gadget-ish.

However, I'm sure he's not the villain, or rather, not the final boss (there's always a bigger fish).
People who watched the ending (streamed) said that the final boss was totally weird, made little sense, but was still awesome.

That's one of the quirks of a trilogy's second act.

Well from the promo the collectors themselves don't seem to be very compelling. A rip-off of the aliens from ID4 and Spielberg's WAR OF THE WORLDS.
There also seems to be a little bit of the rock creatures from Star Trek. The episode with Abe Lincoln.

Hey, I remember you! I haven't been on there since November, but I remember you! I think you responded to a bunch of my whacky theories on how the Assassins were originally a templar sect and that the templars were originally an ancient Roman brotherhood and so on.

Also praetorians are pretty deadly, even on normal.

You only saw Saren at the end of the game? (Well Virmire and then Ilos/Citadel).
Also Eden prime, and at the trial. He was around enough to be considerable threat.
Seeing as the leader of the Collectors can taunt you through possessed soldiers, Its not that a big of a deal anymore. Maybe you'll be able to talk to him through one before the fight starts or something.
