Pro-City Elf or Pro-Dalish Elf? Cause there is definitely some divergence between those two view points.
The Dalish don't seem to be directly connected to the Orlesian plot, so probably pro-city elf.

I would dislike the city elves a whole lot less if it wasn't for some of their defendants in these forums.
Lol, well at the very least, I can separate my annoyance for some posters from my feelings about the actual faction in game.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of what she did there.

What exactly did she do there?

Cashing in Michel's debt to her, making him spare Gaspard's life, and making him technically betray Celene.

The ignore function helps filter out a lot of noise.
In regards to the elves, I think Bioware tries to avoid playing favorites. It's up to the players to decide who they sympathize with.

Which was his choice. She didn't force him to do so, it was his own decision.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of what she did there.
I liked it because it gave Michel the chance to show that he's an even more hardcore Chevalier than Gaspard.

The beauty of it is that, legally, he didn't have the right to be a Chevalier (not noble / half-elf). No wonder Ishmael picked him as a victim.

Yup, Imshael knew exactly what was going to happen, and so he picked the perfect guy.

You contradict yourself here. You just asked what did she do - because you didn't seem to know, but when Eluvianix tells you what she did, you suddenly seem to know how it exactly went. ![]()

Which makes it even more hilarious. The Briala fangirl is strong with this one.

Maybe he read into his mind back in the Dalish camp, probably something like : "I choose who I want to be, no matter what"

regardless of what ser michel would have done, it would still have put a seed of distrust between him and celene...
and why the hell are you posting in a spoiler thread if you havent read the book yet? if you want to look then look, dont add your 2 cents when you have no knowledge about it... thats if xil hasnt truly read the book, idk im not xil

No technically about it, she made him abandon his sworn oath to Celene.
Trapped between two duties...I think Michel would have preferred a knife in the back.

I'm not sure she would have kept him as her Champion after that, even if he had killed Gaspard at the end of the duel. Not because she don't trust him but because of what her enemies could do if they hear about that. That's a part of the Orlesian hypocrisy.

In fact you're right, as far as it's a good kept secret and Gaspard (her main enemy) is dead, it could have worked.

Just listened to the PAX East video, and heard them reference the TME character in the Highlands as "he". So, I guess it's probably Michel then.

Nice catch, and I agree. Michel seems likely.

It's all in the phrasing of the response. It was "call in a favor," not "magically coerce." Ergo, it had to have been Michel's actual choice because if it wasn't, the favor wouldn't have been what was focused on in the response.

If true, I'm guessing he'll be part of an optional quest to deal with Is-Ish. The Demon-No, Spirit thing.

Yup sounds totally like she didn't force him at all. Not to mention the fact that this is just a summoning of what happend. Its not the actual dialogue.
I suggest, Xil, that you actually read the book before you make judgements like these again.
