(God it is so annoying that I can't [/quote[ to break up these quote blocks. Anyone have any formatting tips?)

To your first point, agreed, though I would hope for an alliance with Gaspard. Celene is a treacherous ****** who can't be counted on.

To your second, ehh, maybe, but Celene doesn't seem like the conquering type. Besides, Ostagar would have gone a lot different if we had an extra three hundred Grey Wardens and a couple platoons of Chevaliers there to lend a hand.

To your third, every army counts. Tevinter is a viper than can't be counted on, the Free Marches are in disarray, Ferelden is recovering from the Blight, Antiva and Rivain are too small. I think Nevarra and Orlais are the only heavy-hitters left, and I wouldn't dismiss one so quickly.

As for TME, I'm not sure what you'd find objectionable in it. There's a clan of Dalish that are a bit more one-dimensional then I would like, but all of the other characters are really deep and complex, and the ending has an awesome twist that really shakes up the status quo, though I guess you've had it spoiled. I would definitely recommend it, especially to someone like you, who is interested in the plight of the elves.

Gaspard can be counted on to be a brutal warmongering imperialist. Celene is a weasel, but at least her opinions on things can be influenced.

And I'm not sacrificing the Eluvian network or the welfare of the elves, by any means, unless the game outright forces it. Which I'm fairly sure it will not. And, once more, I'm fairly sure Celene can be brought around anyway.

Also, I don't think Celene is anywhere near as cruel as Gaspard's potential to be.

I don't think the Elves would have a good fate with him on the throne, didn't Briala even say that?

Which is why she is not picking a side and strengthening her people first.

I'm still all for smashing the mirrors after the Inquisition takes control of their use. That's assuming they are not responsible for the veil tears or recent outcropping of red lyrium.

I would sooner die than allow that to happen.

Jumping to conclusions.

what does that have to do with what I said though? I was just saying whom the elves would benefit by more on the throne. You don't really have many choices.

Jumping to conclusions.

Hardly. Merely making use of information that we have available as of now. And it's just speculation anyways. I never said the mirrors were definitely the cause.

Even if they are spawning the veil tears and/or the red lyrium?

I'm incredibly doubtful of that. The red lyrium seems to have spread from Meredith, and the Veil tears would not, I think, be destroyed so quickly or be so linked to the plot of one country.

How could Meredith have made it spread all across Orlais? All the way from the Free Marches?

I'd like to know how that happened though, didn't it get destroyed with her? Or did it make it through?

Did she even use the entire idol with her sword?

You miss the fact the the elves don't have much benefit no matter who is on the throne? Celene can't keep her promises and Guspard is a racist. Both see the elves as tools.

1. How is that going to do harm to the elves if the issue is human killing humans due to human nobles interest and unbalanced power. Normally when that happens the commoner try to take down all the nobles.

Besides being morally reprehensible? The elves don't live in a vacuum. They can't avoid humans and pretend human affairs don't concerns them. Humans aren't going anywhere. They will resent the elves for what they've done. Unless humans and elves learn to live together, this will never end. Prolonging this war isn't going to help that.

2.And that does not defer my point.

Aside from resting on the wrongheaded notion that Briala isn't actively prolonging the war? You have yet to provide any reasoning or proof as to why the section I quoted someone doesn't indicate that.

3.It not up to her and the elves to save those lives. It's not their issue. It like putting the dwarves at fault for not helping in the orlias civil war. It's their problem for them to solve. Helping is not going to do that. Normally it just makes it worse. The issue is the imbalance of power from commoner to noble. The commoners need to see that it's an issue and the only way they can see that it is when things get worse. Helping is only going to prolong the problem.

It would certainly be the dwarves' issue if they lived in Orlais and were actively worked to prolong the war, as Briala is doing.

If you refuse to see that Briala is in fact doing that, we have no more to talk about.

Gaspard would march on the Dales and Celene showed no intention of that, or said something about how she wouldn't.

She was working to improve things for them, such as the universities/merchant taxes.

Jumping to conclusions.

Agreed. I'm not a huge Dalish fanboy, but we should at least have some proof of danger before we start smashing priceless relics from an advanced civilization that we know little about.

Besides, Brother Genitivi would probably try and kill you, and who would want that to happen?

And your alternative? Will it somehow magically remove humanity from the equation?

Carried by the Red templars, or their forerunners.

Meredith transformed into red lyrium herself.

Where could the Templars get more? The Deep Roads?
I always assumed they had an expedition down there specifically for that since we don't know how it happened yet (or at least I don't)

Remember that in the "World of Dragon Age" video we saw Red Lyrium in the Fade as well.
