What pisses me off lol is that we actually know the damn word but our protagonists don't.
I always think this when Bioware heroes don't know the code for something:

We're turning into the season finale of a soap opera and lm loving every moment of it.lmfao
Personally, yes. The harm they've caused so far outweighs any good they can possibly provide unless they are essential to closing the Veil Tears.
Though so far I'm 0 for 1 since I can't rival Merrill.
What harm have the mirrors caused?
And how would you have handled it when your throne was at the stake and you needed to crush the rumors?
She goes through a few options in her head, like kicking elves out of the university, but then heads off to Halamshiral.
I dunno, might have been worth a try.

Darkspawn Taint spread from at least one.
Imshael, one of the Forbidden Ones released.
But.....EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!Easy for you to say. All my keys are little bumps withe Lego written across them.
That wasn't even directed at me, and I still felt the burn.
Oh, that was just gentle ribbing. I respect Ieldra. As far as fanboys go, he's among the best (and least annoying) I've seen over the years. Definitely an intelligent, critical thinker who not only knows what he thinks and likes, but can tell you why. Even when I don't agree or share the conclusions or viewpoints, I approve of that sort of self-awareness.
Granted, I might never share that sort of devoted interest in a Bioware romance arc... but then, I fixate on other amusing things. Ieldra's interest is not only harmless, but even charming in its own way. When he finds someone IRL to treat like that, he'll make someone very happy and lucky (if he hasn't already).

Ummmm, does the name Imshael ring any bells?
Dang guys, I'm gone an hour and it turns out the thread jumped five pages and Dean and Ieldra have been avatarly cross dressing.
This place is a madhouse lol.

I don't think that would have been substantial

Damn, where is the like button on this post?!?!

Against Briala, perhaps. Where is their supposed savior when they are being slaughtered?
Who is getting slaughtered? Are we finishing a game that hasn't been released?

Nah, Hinata was responding to my hypothetical burning down all the alienages to draw out our dear friend Bri for her little password.

Without the Elves in them, of course ![]()
I don't think she'll ever give it to you tbh

Are we talking about 'if I was raised in another culture and found myself in the position?' Well, I'd probably be dead well before hand. If you're asking about what I'd do from my current perspective... well, I'd probably also be dead, or killed in short order. It's a context that I can't answer on one hand, and can't be in in another.
That said, I'm not condemning Celene here. I could if I wanted to make some other point, but I'm not: I'm just noting that Celene is quite capable of being brutal herself. In the context of a comparison with Gaspard, Gaspard might have been less regretful about it, but the city elves being crushed isn't an outcome of Gaspard being cruel or racist. The city elves being crushed is a factor of national politics. Putting your troops on good behavior (in front of the Empress, at least) doesn't really change that the city is just as sacked.
I just don't see it as evidence of Gaspard being cruel.

Oh no. Elves included
. I really want that word.

Imshael, one of the Forbidden Ones released.
Those weren't really the mirrors' fault, if you even can assign blame to inanimate objects.

I never claimed he was, only that he had potential.

Good to know that no matter how bad Gaspard, Celene, or Briala are, the can never match the cruelty potential of a player character.

Is that the mirrors doing or were they just on the other side? The mirrors seem to be the means of short travel. We can find Gaxking in Denerim and Drakspawn in tunnels. I say travel with caution and get ready for a fight when using the mirrors. Unless you believe the mirrors are causing the tears. if that is the case then yes they have to go.

If not for the damn mirrors, that clan wouldn't have tried to summon Imshael...

You'd murder an alienage full of innocent Elves, including women and children, to only possibly get a password? What if she's not even around? Or doesn't hear about it? All that death for nothing.
Truthfully, even then I don't believe she would bend for you. It'd be pointless.
I'm not following, Dean(ette).
I suspect the Eluvian network will be shut down again (either by breaking it or sealing it), and in the process someone is going to get stuck in it.
Could be a protagonist, could be a villain. Could be an tragedy/defeat, could be an unavoidable consequence of fixing the veils, or it could even be a deliberate trap to seal the villain/a great evil away.

I'm kidding lol
