I'll always prefer something along the lines of ME1.  To me it was just about perfect.  Romance, lighting, music and just enough skin.   Didn't care if they were all similar.

 

Not a big fan of the "witcher" type sex, it's about as irritating as the underwear to me.  No to underwear. having sex in underwear is just really uncomfortable really hate the underwear stuff.   Also, hated the bra in the shower.  Just show their back standing under a waterfall or sitting in the bathtub with lots of bubbles, like soap commercials.

 

 I agree with TKavatar about the bed crawling, though I didn't mind my male warden who loved her, it was a bit cheesy and I hated having to watch Alistair who was my LI.

 

If it's not going to be classy and without underwear, I'd rather have a bit of DA2 and ME2 action and take my LI hand, go to the tent, bedroom or hayloft and then see the door close, tent flap come down or a chicken sleeping in the barn, but would still love something like ME1.

ME1 n ME3 are prob the best examples of how to handle them i think, the DA titles to date offer nothing for me personally where as i thought that in me1 n me3 they were spot on an that it added to the side story/progression of your char, the DA series so far just make them awkward childish moments that should never have been put in the game to begin with.

One of my favorite moments in ME3  was Kaidan just saying to wake him up next time before I left.  It was great having the relationship acknowledged in this easy to add way.  But, I'd really like a few less cinematic cut scenes and more dialogue options.

 

ME1, for me the sex scene was perfect and 3 at the citadel .   DA:O and 2 had some nice moments story wise, and I liked that they tried to add some variety to the relationships, but yes, awkward and childish would have been better served with a door closing or tent flap going down.  

 

But agree that whatever they do will be fine as long as I can use the skip options, which I did every time the DR came along, unless it was my male warden who loved her.

Yes. We need kids. Who will rule Inquisition then our Inquisitor will die. Well we could use some magical rituals to become immortal but mostly rituals require to kill or harm other people and I play as chaotic good so it's not option for me.

 No kids for this inquisitor, She knows the tricks to keep kids away.  They will just have to fight over who rules.   Yeah, I play between super noble and gray,  No killing unless I'm attacked, definitely no funny rituals going on, immortality is over rated, and even gods can be killed.

The best way ive seen sex scenes handled was in ME1 and ME3 ( Liara only ). I havent played Citadel DLC so I cant comment on that...

I prefer option 3 myself. 4 would be too crass for my liking. 1 is the worst option in my opinion, and 2 is less realistic.

For those that want nudity and "dirty" sex scenes, bare in mind that it really goes both ways.  I think that some of the folks are asking for female full frontal, not male.  If you want nudity, it should go for both genders.  Unless you want to and/or are ready to deal with that, I don't think you want nudity in the DA games.

See, I figure if we end up in a world were full-frontal for both genders doesn't mean a ban in some countries (or the AO/18+ rating, which might as well mean a ban,) BioWare would probably be the first AAA company to do it.  However, until the day comes where it's okay for that to happen, I don't ever expect to see full-frontal in a Bioware game.  I'm personally happy with the approach that they are talking about taking.

If you want to see guy parts fine be honest about it.

 

You can find any of the videos of the scenes on youtube and see yourself. Number 3 or 4 are the best options. Showing a quick breast or backside shot of one or both participants is fine with me. No digital actual penetration or showing the flower or a branch. The it is a porn substitiute is laughable argument as the real stuff is plentiful free and easy to get. That being said they really don't need to go that far in games unless that is the point of the game as in it is a sex game not merely a game with some sex scenes in it.

I can confirm that there is full front and back nudity on Tiss and other women, there is even a scene were you almost see more than you should.

Also Geralt has pants most of the time even during most of the sex scene. The only scene he is naked, is on the elven bathtub and it is only part of his back, that you see, not even full back naked. 

 

One of the problems that I had with that game, was the major male gaze that made me uncomfortable and was kinda borderline embarrassing.

@Mihura people have taken the nude model of Triss out of the game there are no labes on it. There are nude patches you can walk around with the nude model (I don't mod game files myself) and you don't see it. Many pictures posted online some of triss posed with the succubus which does not happen in game nada. Yes you can see the barbie doll effect but that's it. If you want to say that is full frontal I have to disagree. Already stated could see her behind which I don't find a big deal. They could have shown Geralt's as I said no biggie to me.

I would prefer tasteful sex scenes. ME1 did a good job of this (side boob with no frontal shots of M/F, but have the PC w/o their underwear this time with good camera angles)

I don't need shock value or gratuitous nudity, just a believable connect between my PC and the LI.

I've thought about this a lot (love scenes in video games) and I've come to the conclusion that I really don't care how risque the scenes are; I leave that up to the developers. I've been fine with ME3 (only ME love scene I played) and DA2, but DA:O was a little on the cheesy side, as I'm sure we can all agree

 

The only thing that really matters to me as a player is that the female character or characters does/do not become a sex object for the pleasure of the (straight male) player's gaze. That is why the one Witcher sex scene I've seen makes me sick to my stomach... however, I can't see the DA team every stooping to that level. ME, maybe (hello, Miranda's butt), but not DA.

Failing that, I'd prefer option no. 1. Our dirty minds can make the details up ourselves, can't we.
