Dude, I breastfed my kid for two years.  In my mind, they're food bags first and sexual second. Not to say I don't like how breasts look in an aesthetic sense, but I can also look at them completely divorced from eroticism. (And, yes, I am sexually attracted to women.). But I do take issue with how breasts have become eroticised to the point that their original function gets lost in the shuffle.

I guess that's a TMI way of saying that I wish they'd add nimples to breasts in games. They don't have to have nipples poking out of clothing ala Jack from ME3...but when nude, I think it's dumb to not have them there.

As a rebuttal against myself, apparently nipple stimulation has different effects on men and women. So in that way you could say they are biologically more sexual. I've never breastfed but have heard also it's supposedly quite pleasurable for some people.

There's always GTA5, quite a lot of nipples in that game, even outside the strip club. Even a dong or two!

Don't forget DK64

That's still not something you can tell by sight alone. And thus I don't agree with the nipple censoring.

Why does censoring exist in the first place, is it so children don't ask complicated questions? What originally puzzled me about nipple censoring was seeing in movies that it's perfectly acceptable to depict the whole act of sexual intercourse, as long as there no visible: penises, labias and female nipples. (I think the US doesn't like bums either). Does that really help you with your story that they're just wrestling?

And then you see bikini tops that are literally just nipple shields, you really wonder what the point is

I like option 3 for DA:I.

Though admittedly I like the idea of 4 as well because I'm not shy about sexuality, and they would never make it pornographic.  The Witcher pulled this style of well. Sensual and stimulating with out being in bad taste.

No 3, as in ME1. Please no dry humping in underwear like in ME2. No 4 would be alright as well, but 3 is still my 1st preference.

M rated =/= AO rated

http://www.esrb.org/...tings_guide.jsp

Now everything is clear, right?

The difference between M and AO ratings in ESRB is the stupidest thing. 1 year between 17 and 18 makes such big difference, who knew. And again violence and sex are grouped as if they were the same evil thing.

As for the initial topic:

№2 is out of the question, it looks unnatural and sanctimonious.

№1 - I think there should be an option in game settings to switch off sex scenes for those who don't like them. But I don't want this fading to black to be the only option for everyone.

I prefer №3/4. I do like humping pixels  :P But only if they make those boys less shy. Drop their precious pants, show some nice parts, especially in gay romance scenes  By the way, an extended scenes DLC would be a great compromise. DLCs can have a different rating and more adult content if they are strictly optional.

No. It's for the reason that kids don't rape each other. For Psychological and pragmatic reasons.

Note: Not every banned thing is banned because of "religion".

@Zveroferma,

Nudists, nudists everywhere (on the Internet only!)

Sanity in these forums... we have dismissed that claim.

If there is going to be one I'd say Choice #3, or the Liara scene from ME3.  I don't really know why they were toned down from ME1 anyway, those scenes were tastefully done.  It's a rated M game, anyone playing it I'm sure has seen far worse.

My parents never censored anything. I was watching movies and reading books with explicit sexual content before I was ten. They knew, and they didn't care. I turned out just fine.

Because that is all that matters, rather than the dialogue, right. -_-

The dialogue matters very much so. I'd take good dialogue over any kind of sex scene. But the thing is, chances are there is going to BE a climatic scene. They might as well make it good. As I said, Mass Effect 1 was an example of such a scene done right. Even Dragon Age 2 (minus the Isabela fling scene -__-) was tasteful in the way they approached it. Just not the underwear scenes from Origins.

I say the same thing about speedos for men.

'Mericans and their 'speedo' issues. They are just swimming trunks, easy to wear. Good for swimming. I never undestood the strange need to wear shorts the size of your normal pants. If swimming is so ankward so that you have wear a burqa why swim at all?

There's valid reasons to not wear speedos.

Either 4. or no sex scene at all. Seriously, this is why games will always be seen as a kids toy even if it's rated M. No where in any kind of art or type of entertainment outside of video games have I seen compromisation, because of social upringings not allowing certain things to be seen.

And some people should try to understand not everyone is sharing the same cultural views, not everyone believe that nipples burn the soul or that it is a miniscul minor thing. Bioware games are being sold around the whole globe, most inside NA/EU. And they have already shown to be open minded about many things and suporting people who are thought to be just a corner stones. They allow same sex romances, places the female gender in a more important forefront. So why the **** should they stop doing this for people who do care about sexual conent in games, where their social upbringings did not put up barriers in place to ward off such content?

Can't comprehent? Try imagening green liquids flowing through human wounds and beheadings fade to black. While the game is rated M for mature.

So yea, I'dd rather Bioware not doing sex scenes, since doing things half-heartedly would bring more harm then doing nothing.

P.S. Wanna know a stupid fact? That "art"  inside games, like statues and paintings, are allowed to show nudity.

P.P.S. Sorry for this angry rant, feel free to critisize my argument. I promise I wont bite :).

Really? What's the cause-and-effect there? A kid sees a nipple and goes berserk?

Kids learn things very fast. It's not just static nude thing. Show them GoT and after two episodes they become perverts. Have you seen 11-14 years old who talk and act with sexual harassment style?

Smart censorship is good. End of line.
