Tasteful, believable and relevant to the story. At one point or another Li's are going to want to consummate, unless they're both chaste. What I liked about DA:O, or at least was pleasantly surprised, was that the game took it that far and made it relatively believable for the story and time.
The music I could have done without. My daughter akinned it to 13 year olds snickering and giggling to dad's old books in the garage... which intrigued me more.
Combine the scenes with being able to speak to your companions and/or Li while traveling (also from DAO) I think it could be beautiful, logical, character developmental and help with the immersion.

The inquisitor meeting with Morrigan at some point mid-game, discussing matters of importance to the main quest. Except they're having this conversation while Morrigan's lounging in the bath.
Towards the end of the conversation, Morrigan tells the Inquisitor to avert their eyes as she stands up out of the bath, but in the camera we get a shot at her midsection; if the Warden stabbed her at the end of Witch Hunt, there'd be a scar, if the dark ritual was performed, there'd be stretchmarks, that kind of thing. Little visual cues to continuity. Morrigan chides the Inquisitor to keep their eyes averted lest she turns them into a toad, scene continues as she dons a robe.

That sounds like an excellent idea. (The meeting Morrigan in the bath house with the little details)
Back to the main topic #1 is as bad as what happens in DA2. #2 is Weird

Classy? What's classy got do do with it? An HBO show can have nudity, an FX show can have less, and a CBS show can have none, but all three can be classy. And have sexuality.Just fade to black and keep it classy. I don't have a problem with sexuality or nudity, but Bioware has made it clear they are not interested in realistic depictions of sex, and that is fine, I know what it looks like. So, instead of any weird dry humping in full plate armor, just fade to black and keep it classy.

Tired of mild romance scenes. They should be tasteful and mind-blowing at the same time. 
They shouldn't be pornographic.
I think all 4 works. it is more a matter of how it is done and built up rather than the actual scene.
So for example Triss, Liara (ME3) and Garrus sex scene do work well.

Guideline: "While I enjoy well-made sex scenes, I don't need to see everything. However, what I see must be believable."
That means: Preferred option would be 3. I have no objections to 4. 1 would be a minor disappointment but DAI would lose no points for it. 2 is an abomination, burn it with fire.
BTW, everyone who equals TW2's scenes with porn has no idea of what they're talking about or really warped standards. The elven bath scene is beautiful.

I think where people go astray with Witcher comparisons, is when they hold the entire game up as an example of sex scenes done well in the game. While that is true for the elven bath scene, it isn't as true for the scenes with random NPCs or prostitutes. The latter tend to be gratuitous. And the less said about the cards in the first Witcher game, the better.

I think most people always have the elven bath scene in mind when they talk about the mature sex scenes. The thing that I always find silly during the witcher scenes though is the fact that Geralt always keeps his pants on.
I agree with Ieldra as well. I don't need full frontal nudity, but atleast make it believable and not like Origins with the underwear on.
I say go the Mass Effect 3 route.

Although, I find it odd that people object to showing breasts in scenes.
It's ironic that it's coming from people who are supposedly forward thinking.
Breasts are just....breasts. The fact they are "sexualized" so strongly is because of the straight male demographic. For me, a strong barrel chest with thick arms turns me on as much as breasts would supposedly turn on a straight man. Should men start permanently covering their arms too? (Sure as long as they are skin tight 
)
What I don't care to see is genitals from both sexes. It's best to leave that to the imagination through carefully placed camera positions.
I found the "rolling in bed" scene with Kaidan to be crazy hot. Something similar to that is fine by me.

It's rated Mature for a reason, most fans of Bioware games are adults, treat us like it. No reason to fear censorship backlash as plenty of other games go much farther. I thought the Witcher 2's fully nude scenes were tasteful and well done and didn't feel forced or childish.

With as much sex as your warden could potentially have, Dragon Age would have been a porno with the best story ever if instead of fading to black or cutting to the cheesy, it had turned into a full blown scene from a X-rated flick.
Witcher 2 "scene", singular, as in the elven bath scene, is not that bad. But yeah, the prostitute scenes were just stupid.
Option 1 and Option 2 are not options at all. I'd take no sex scenes instead.
Option 3 or Optiion 4 is what I'm going with. Either one would work, although I understand why people would prefer 3 over 4. The only way they could pull off 4 without looking too gratuitous, is if the build up is perfect and the romance is believable. In that case, it would be more about love than casual sex.
yes the prostitute scene are not that great but really fade to black after the conversation with "Your party lost 5 gold" is just as crap.
That bugbear is that for example a just for sex "sex scene" fits Isabella character perfectly, in fact several several occurrences of the a fore mentioned fit the character regardless if it is a 1,2,3 or 4.
regardless no one can say that brothel sex scene are forced in the player. It is a deliberate choice that the player makes. i can understand that people might be surprised by the way a conversation develops through again we all know where clinking on the heart option will lead.

The "treat us like adults" argument has always struck me as odd.
I don't know anyone I consider an adult IRL who demands to see full-frontal nudity in all of their "mature" entertainment products.

I really disagree there. The one or two that didn't just seem in there for gamers to oogle at had other issues. The elven bath scene turns slapstick humor halfway through. I thought it was out of character for Ves.
