Sten actually refers to a Female Warden as a "male" in certain conversation after his approval is high enough, and after his questioning of the Warden's gender given he was confused why a Female was fighting, Qunari society allows "Females" to serve, but they are treated and referred to as "men" because Women are Scribes, Priests, Artisans and what have you, not warriors.

Being acknowledged as a Male when you are a female, Is apparently a big deal, you are good enough to ignore social norm.

not this game but one of the next 2 will be about a qunari invasion, im almost certain of it...

Tevinter wouldnt invade right now, but the qunari definitely would.... even if its at the worst possible time for them, they would still invade because the Qun demands it!  To me its just throwing common sense out the window, but then again there is nothing common about the qunari

The question is what would Tevinter gain by expanding south? Not much I think. The Qunari on the other hand will do whatever the Qun 'dictates'. When the time will come they will send their armies against Thedas again.

And we will be grateful.

edit:

but then again there is nothing common about the qunari

And yet they are willing to accept all races as equal into their society regardless if it is elf, dwarf or human. A thing that is impossible in other societies. The Qunari are often more practical then other the peoples of Thedas.

You mean every one will be grateful when their Hosts are shattered again, Their Armada sunk AGAIN and their banners set aflame again!

  This time i do hope the resources and wealth remain to do a mainland invasion of Par Vollen, None of that token bs the raiders did to Harass them in the prior war, Oh no.

I am talking Operation Mother****ing Downfall.

Well if Bioware will do a game about a Qunari war I do hope we will be able to resolve it any way we see fit. I kind of wished I could have helped the Arishok in cleaning up Kirkwall. Man I hated the place.

Operation Downfall was the planned Invasion by the United States military for the Japanese homeland islands by the way.

It was going to be one of the largest amphibious invasions of the war.

One of the largest one's planned in history, It also called for eight more atomic bombs to be dropped on Japan.

Figured invoking it would be suitable enough for the occasion.

Not until one of them secures Seheron. This island is too important strategic point.

Thedas would fight each other before they would band together again. The Qunari are no doubt, holding that island

And often less practical in other ways. The arishok wasted years in Kirkwall cooling his heels over a book, effectively immobilizing the entire qunari war machine. Then, at the climax of the qunari crisis, he started a battle he had little chance of winning, in significant part because of moral outrage. Sten often did bizarre things in Origins on the basis of his cultural views and his prejudices, and he did bizarre things again in Those Who Sleep.

Why would you want to wait centuries to take on the qunari with internal-combustion engines, powered flying vehicles, and high explosives?

Once the Qunari is routed in and shoved out of Thedas again, i figure the Imperium and White Thedas can mass their fleets and press to take the Islands.

Once their main supply route to their southern campaign is severed, the token resistance offered on the Island should be a moot inveitable action, Par Vollen would be standing alone, Sehron ultimately would be a challenge, but only in so far as Terrain, because i personally don't think it could long withstand an actual dedicated assault invasion by both the Imperium and White Thedas, i actually count upon the Imperium for this.

They can scour the Island and turn it into a parking lot, pave the way for the armies of Thedas to advance.

Once Sehron is secured all that remains is the Qunari Homeland, that likely would be a campaign of months or years.

But Thedas has the numbers to win if they actually got their **** together and focused.

If i had actually had my way?

I would have had the Economies of Thedas crumble into ruin in the prior war to actually obliterate the Qunari from existence, i would sacrifice temporary reprieve and stability for the utter removal of the second most pressing threat to thedas. They were going broke rebuilding and funding campaigns already, but i would sacrifice Orlais, Nevarra, Definitely Tevinter to be rid of the Qunari for good.

New Flags will rise, New Leaders will be appointed.

Same **** different day, different names, but no Qunari this time.

Who said either of them were the best they could offer? Being a good leader doesnt make you the best fighter in most cases

I meant from geographical standpoint. And no, while Qunari hold the island for a moment, it's far from secured.

That's not a plan of campaign, that's a rant with a very dubious relationship to the reality of the Thedas setting.

That's not a plan of campaign, that's a rant with a very dubious relationship to the reality of the Thedas setting.

Well when Bioware actually commits pen to paper and makes military logistics and manpower accountable to the realities of their own designed world you may even have a far point. But the amassing of strength, the building of Surplus and the construction of forces are evident to the lore, More or less you have a continent that has the forces to easily outnumber the Qunari whom according to Wot are consumed with this predesigned Eugenics programe to create the perfect species for their dogma.

Even with out the exacting totals if you by the Lore, you clearly see the Militaries of Thedas matching and exceeding the Qunari of the prior war in both number and the ability to mass forces, if the Qunari could match ability and number then they wouldn't have been broken, driven back and forced into that pseudo peace they agreed to after the first conflict.

Admittedly its all conjecture on my part, but it isn't as you descrbed an inaccurate rant, its just my conjecture on what Bioware has presented thus far, if Thedas and its...Northern Ally unite, they likely could exceed the manpower of the Add in that the longer the conflict draws, the more strain it presses upon the invaders to maintain their conquered lands and you have a scenario for absolute victory, after all they lost the Imperium originally because the Magisters combined mass slave revolts with military action, I don't see why you couldn't apply the tactic to the wider arena.

You force them to commit to battlefields with their reserves, you press supply lines and strongpoints and ultimately get them bogged down on multiple fronts while amassing the force to cripple their homeland, its a viable tactic that has seen much use in our own reality, not as much in Thedas given their wars for the most part have been one Nation against other, you have relatively few international wars, only a handful of events prompted agreements between the various powers that be, but this is one of them.

In what way do the armies of Thedas match the Qunari military prowess?
