Anyone else have this happening? For the past week I've noticed several of my friends on xbox live who never even thought of playing the game before are just now getting into ME1. And they all have questions for me, cause they know I've been playing it for the past two years. I guess a lot of people are getting excited for ME2 that never played the original. Looks like good news for Bioware.
All my friends are suddenly into ME1

Not happening to me, most of my friends are into shooters that have no real story. Any thing that has a good story goes over their head in a snap.

This is what happens when a sequel comes out, and everyone is talking about it. Kind of like The Dark Knight. Not many people knew about Batman Begins. Pretty infuriating that people are hopping on the bandwagon, rather than actually playing the game because it is fun.

I don't see it as infuriating at all. Better they enjoy the game now than never right? Plus the more units BioWare moves the better. While it isn't like ME3 won't happen, continued success for one of my favorite developers is only a good thing.

My old man has been pestering me for my copy of ME1 so he could play. While I gladly encourage him to get into RPGs and away from god damned shooters, ME1 is MINE! All mine! My precioussssss.

I wish I could get one particular friend into ME1!! He built a PC that could easily run it but ended up buying a PS3 and does most of his gaming on that. Sadly I'm in the minority within my friends/family- many of them like multiplayer titles and none of them has spent near the amount of time I did on ME1
...and he still hasn't played KOTOR

Yeah I noticed some of my more shooter inclined "friends" (using that loosely their more like those people you friend on live for no real reason then to say "hey I have friends") are all playing the first one. Kinda funny to watch them struggle through it, one of them was level 16, then I saw them on their same character level 12. Some one did not save it would appear. I laughed.

My friend who didn't love ME1(Mainly due to pacing and the citadel) is pumped about ME2.

I have semi-forced friends into watching the launch trailer at least, and one sounds like he's almost been convinced to get ME2 at any rate.

Yeah, not happening to me either. My friends either loved or hated ME1...most of the hate form COD shooter fans who said the game looked too much like Halo (which they also hate)

Probably happen with my friends, but on issues like this I turn into a snob. Happened with Dragon Age. They took the first decisions they saw and thought they could play coop on the Xbox with it.
