I miss the private group I was part of, and the blog feature. The forums aren't that big a deal to me; I use the same features I did before. The dark theme is appreciated; hated that blinding white this new forum started with.

What? The polls are finally back!!! How can this be?
You can't make multiples of them for fun now. It requires mastery in poll making and using topics to create them and they should better be serious or lock is on the way.

I prefer the new forum not it has a dark background even though my game profile won't carry over ![]()

I like the look of this new forum, but didn't BSN have, like, a general discussion/lobby area for each of the games? I can't seem to find it here. I mean, if I wanted to ask for the forum's opinion on Dragon Age: Inquisition, for example, where would I create a thread?
Off-topic: Is there a general gamer ID thread around here?

I liked the way BSN looked.

I don't really come here anymore because of the changes. I was a BSN member for around 4 years and made a lot of good friends / met some great people in that time, too. The old layout may have been clunky and this may look shiny and neat, but what use is that when the best parts have been stripped?
I hate the notification system and how everyone has the ability to change their handle so often - it makes for a confusing and often alienating experience. I don't recognise people now, nor is it very easy to keep up with what anyone is doing. The social element - like many have already pointed out - seems to have disappeared. What the designers failed to understand is that not everyone cared about visiting the threads and discussing the games. Yes, from time to time we did, but most of us came here because we had created bonds with people from all over the world. I came here to be silly and have some fun. It suited me fine to maybe like a few posts, upload a few pictures and answer a few silly polls. I didn't (and I still don't) see the harm in that at all. Why it had to become a fascist regime, I'll never quite understand.

I can't keep track of the peeps on my friend list anymore. In fact, I'm not even sure how many are still on here outside of the groups I roam in. That is frustrating, that you can't even see how many are still on your list, or whether they are still online. Not to mention the lack of a feed sucks a rusty fire hydrant and the blog & group system being gone is even worse. Like DuckSoup mentioned above -- Not everybody cares to participate in the redundant discussions of 'Will we be able to romance character X & Y" for about the fifthteenth time. Not to say that we won't discuss BioWare related material at all but thing is that eventually you'll inevitable run out of things to talk about and thus one will have to resort to "How was your day?" or something else un-related. On Obsidian's forums there are whole sections dedicated to discuss your gaming-life outside of Obsidian games, and even stuff about the latest news around the world, or something as trivial as what you spend your day doing. I think that's inspiring.
Having spent a lot of time with the users within my circle on the old BSN I find it downright annoying how the forums have been scaled down to this -- It's quite sad, really.

I prefer the new forums, something about it makes it seem I don't know.... more pleasant, I suppose.

I think the new forum is okay. Still, the lack of "what's new?" activity feed takes away its charm, imo.

So after some conversation with people here I found that lack of proper feed is the biggest let down here it seems.

The new forum is better. I like the layout better and just the general customization one has with their profile.

Bioware forums is still the most reliable and fairest gaming community over the Internet.
The Shelter mods hated me (such jerklings) and...
Your forum account is currently banned. Ban Reason: User circumvented previous removal from the group with name change. Original reasons still apply.
Ban will be lifted: Never
Then RPG-Codex called me a spammer but maybe the reason of my banning was the criticizing of the Banner Saga.
You have been banned for the following reason: Spam.
Yay. I think I'm going to be on BSN most of my internet time and occasionally on Gamespot.

New forums easily.
Easier on the eyes, loads more efficiently and is just 'cleaner' in general.

I still call it BSN. I always will.
The BSN data hive is awesome. Glorious.
I mean, I don't know if anyone here was around during the slightly controversial, slightly polarizing ME3 ending threads and stuff.
Now that..... Was fun.

New forums are better in many ways, but the BSN provided so much laughter...

So is social.bioware kaput now? Whenever I go there to (lord forbid it actually works) tinker with the "my games" stuff and click on forums it redirects me here, also any google search results popping up with topics from/in the old!forum are just redirected to the new forum index.
