These are the same commoners that the Chevaliers are allowed to use as their playthings. They think they are degrading themselves by treating people they view below them as equal enough to apologize too.

like in the sameway that every Lordling is, I don't see you wanting to burn down all of Thedas for the Monarchy having privilege

Who says I don't want to punish or remove any noble who views themselves as superior by privilege?

Who says you will have the option for either?

Point being, Its hardly a unique "crime" furthermore The Nobility are Nobility, they write the laws, enact the laws, and pay the hands that enforce the laws.

They are the law, and this Knightly Order is given noble Privilege.

Like i said when it becomes more then just his own musings perhaps i might think more of one Initiate's opinion.

And Its hardly like this is a roaming death squad, its a once a class event that is targeted at criminals.

Its the "targeted at criminals" part that I and others find unconvincing.

And thus if I have my way, said institution will be torn to the ground. I'm allowed to want the game to represent the choices I want to make just as much as you.

Yeah, but my vision is grounded in the reality that the dragon age will remain the dragon age and shift into a idealistic utopia based off of the Netherlands.

Eh, It seems targeted and restrained enough for my tastes.

They were shoved into an individual slum, Chances are the men they killed were criminals (Its a slum)

We don't need the Chevaliers for Thedas to stay Thedas. We don't even need them for Orlais to stay Orlais. They are simply an order of knights who have rotted to the core, and thus should be replaced.

Knocking off some unseemly Chevaliers will hardly make the Dragon Age lose its edge. And again, you can do whatever the hell you want in your own game, Pain.

When Celene passively mocked the chevalier with her feather duel in TME, she lost allies.

Chevalier are a time honored tradition in Orlais, not to be discarded without consequence.

The idea will not die, it will be born again and again, The Teutonics and Templars were not the end of Knightly Orders when they fell into the mists of History, They weren't even near the end of it. As long as Divine Right persists, as long as Fedualism is in use, this will never be a subject closed. That is what makes Dragon Age, The Dragon Age. Its a Fantastical Feudalist Society.

I would if I could, my friend.

But if i was a Lord...Nevermind :(

Feather beds, Suckling Pig and Wine! Lots and lots of wine!

And Mistresses!

But expecting them not to be replaced with a similar order? Or a Similar Nation is hardly unexpected, you remove one insitution and it is replaced with a different banner and different names, but in essence it is the same.

Unless you killed innocents and had your way with commoners.

Then I would kill you.

Agreed. If they agree to be honor-bound to the Maker, and renounce all claims of nobility, they will be welcomed with open arms into His new fold.

So what? I should just leave well enough alone while they continue to murder, steal, and rape when I am in a position to stop them? I could never do that.

You put the measures into place that the ideology, the notion, the idea fades from memory and it actually achieves something.

Merely killing them? Their Order will be replaced, rebuilt and in action again within a decade. (Likely with the same perks)

...You wouldn't be the first try, Would prove interesting if nothing else.

That said what if i had my way with commoners and then paid them? Or you know ._. gave them employment or other motivations to take to my Bed, you know like Nobles oft times do even in dragon age, Its all exchanges, That said Peasants occasionally revolt and then they need to be put to the sword.

...Then you need to import new peasants.

Thus why I will, game willing, tear the entire foundation down and help set up a better order that serves the same Pros without the Cons.

I don't care what you do, truly, have all the prostitutes you desire.

Rape and murder of innocents is where I draw the line of "noble fun".
