Just started playing ME3 and wanted to know what ends up being more useful in the long run 5% Discount at Stores or the 5% Power Cooldown Bonus?
What to do with the Reaper Destroyer Remains?

I always personally take the 5% discount.

I never take the discount anymore because there's an endless supply of money in the game. (with Citadel DLC installed)

Even if not powergaming, I'd take cooldown for two reasons. First, in ME games there is a fairly limited number of stuff you can buy. Second, if you need money, you can always do a few rounds in the Armax Arena which is pretty fun anyway.

I used to take the discount, but there's nothing left for me to buy anymore, so I take the Cooldown bonus now.

Cooldown bonus, the game provides more than enough money to upgrade the weapons and mods Shepard and the squad use. The only exception I would say is to get the discount if your aiming to buy one of the Spectre Terminal weapons (Black Widow, Paladin, Wraith) as soon as possible.

Cooldown.
Unless, yeah, aiming for a Spectre weapon.

Given that you can use the Arena to make up for any missing credits (even if it does mean you have to play a lot of rounds in the simulator), the cooldown is probably the better bargain.

I always take the cooldown. The only things I ever pay for are the models, those medigel capacity upgrades, weapon mods/upgrades and that aquarium VI. Just about every else I consider of value can be acquired for free, with the exception of the weapons in the Spectre store.
