The different options that I know of for getting the Garage key in Han-Shan Station on Noveria are:
1) Betray Opold to Anoleis (no one dies, maybe Opold to Innamorda later)
2) Betray Parasini to Anoleis (2 people die - Parasini and Anoleis)
3) Make a deal with Anoleis to keep the evidence (7 to 9 people die - ERS Guards)
4) Give the evidence to Lorik Qui'in (7 to 9 people die - ERS Guards)
5) Help Parasini by getting Lorik Qui'in to testify against Anoleis (7-9 people die - ERS Guards)

Usually I pick the option I've always picked, #5, because I like Parasini, Anoleis is an ass, and I like all of the conversations. However, knowing that guards are not just one-dimensional bad guys and actual people with friends, families, etc, this is one of the more bloody options to get the garage key. Also, there is an uncomfortable class distinction in the kind of punishment all parties receive - the worker bee security guards trying to make some extra credits on the side all get killed, while upper management, Qui'in and Anoleis, get to sit in a bar and cushy office until Anoleis gets "fired".

The whole place is corrupt anyway, it seems that the most Paragon option should be #1, the one where Shepard actually keeps everyone alive if Shep just betrays Opold to Anoleis, and then minds his own business.

I totally agree. Story-wise, I would always do just that, because:
1) It would easily give garage pass;
2) Nobody dies;

3) Opold uses Shepard to gain profit and it's not cool;

4) You keep the dangerous experimental mod (although quite basic once you get it but anyway);

5) No matter how cool Shepard is, he shouldn't make troubles on Noveria. Anoleis may be an *******, but it's not Shepard's problem.

BUT, 5th option gives a HUGE quantity of morality points and enough of XP that are REALLY helpful later so I make it a canon.

My Shepards always go for the beer (and the kiss if they are male.) :)

If I am Renegade, I like to:

1) Agree to get the evidence for Lorik from his office. I may or may intimidate the two guards into leaving first.

2) Go to Anoleis and inform him that Parsini is a double agent. Both die in the confrontation.

3) Go back to Lorik and intimidate him into buying the evidence off of me.

Sometimes it is great being a renegade.

As a Paragon,... I inform Anoleis of Opold's smuggling and give him the mod... and then immediately take Charm him into giving it back because I can. And then I go to Lorik's office anyway because more XP is always nice.

I mostly do #5 since I like Gianna and meeting her in ME2. I have done #4 a couple of times.

Novaria is an example where I just go with the flow and everything works out somehow. My RacistShep, for example, would avoid aliens whenever possible, so of course he'll assist human characters more. My MainShep tries to help characters along his way, but doesn't approve of highly shady activities (like blatantly lying, or being very manipulative) in order to do so.

Novaria is quite fun for alts :)

This is my favorite mission, the one that has the biggest number os solutions. Too bad you need to constantly take long trips around the noveria port in order to progress it. It´s always nice to constantly talk with matsuo as the mission progresses. She will say new things after you first speak with the administrator, and also if you take the package. She also says new things if you kill her corrupt guards of if anoleas is dies or is arrested.  My favorite me1 mission by far. The long walks are awful, but the beer and the kiss from giana in me2 are worth all the trouble.
