You do know that Wraith is mostly a caster gun right...? The delay b/w it's shots is the perfect time to cast a power.

Edit #2: Mako, the Krosol has fortification which is kind of like tech armour (30% DR instead of the 40/50% of TA.)
Shady, you are very helpful and thank you for that. Yeah, I will try the cheese with the KroSol. I am not even using TA for the DR, even though it's a useful bonus. I am using it because it's a neat signature power for a class. I can't explain my adoration for it. I guess I am weird like that, going loco for shiny holographic armour.
When there's a shotgun Power Amp, I'll consider the Wraith a caster weapon! 
But srsly tho', it just doesn't fit with me. None of my casters "synch up" with it well. The timing is just uncomfortable, and I can't really work with it.

It packs a punch, fairly accurate at range and is light enough to not mess with cooldowns. That's enough qualification for a gun to be considered caster worthy™ in my book. It's the Indra of shotguns, if you will.
I don't think it's a permanent gun on any of my casters but it's an alternating on quite a few. From the top of my head: AJA, AVSent, HMA, QME, HME, Tsent, HMSent and most vanguards when I can't take a Talon because I'm low on pistol amps.

@ luckystarr...lets drop the AIU topic, I think this is the third thread this week regarding the sheet DPS of the AIU. Sheet DPS means nothing in comparison to effective DPS. AIU is good, but she teaches extremely poor play habits with Repair Matrix. The retard carbine is not the only weapon to use on her, the Raider/Claymoar/Wraith/GPS are all far better guns that allow you to kill from a distance AND upclose. In the hands of a skilled player, almost any kit will top the scoreboard.

I agree...I would almost prefer the wraith to be a single shot weapon sometimes. The talon makes it so difficult to roll with a true shotgun on any caster, unless you are rolling with a venom.

After using it long enough, you fall into the pattern Pearl said. It's a good weapon, not great, but good.
I must admit, as of late I've been increasingly drawn to using the Raider on my Wraith classes. I've also been sad to find out that the Raider generally outperforms the Wraith on those classes.
Edit: Try out this class. I'm still trying to work out some kinks with the power evos, seeing which ones work better when and where, but I truly love the Wraith on the Salarian Infiltrator. Cloak, Proxy, Wraith, Drain (if needed), Wraith, repeat.

Now for my own inflammatory statement, AIU is waaaaaaay cooler than Drell.
On a slightly less trollish note, I don't care about "stealing" nades from other kits if I'm playing the AIU, I'm not gonna skip on getting the movement speed bonus.
Her melee with TC and 6a in passives will one shot almost every mook in the game. If shielded it requires one other melee kill before it for the extra bonus, but after that, you can uppercut your way to victory and use your piranha to NOM NOM NOM armor.
