I will not 

 

• play as a human or an elf !
• Be a blood mage EVER!!!
• compromise what i believe to be right no matter how my companions feel.
• side with mages or Templars, but try to help bring about some form of peace, if possible!
• Romance female Characters.
• be a tyrant.
• play as a male.

I will never kill any companion who remains loyal regardless of ideals - otherwise all bets are off (cough, Anders, cough.)

 

I will never play a truly evil or sociopathic character.

I will likely play a female human rogue on my first play through (human female for sure, torn between rogue and warrior classes.)

 

It is unlikely that I romance any companion on my first play (never done it before in any game.)

 

I absolutely will kill all bloodmages, Tevinter slavers, and Templar radicals I encounter (or any other extremist a*hole who would use their power/authority to harm others.)

Play as a male character, nonmage, human or dwarf.

Romance anyone male.

Aid the templars or Orlais any more than strictly necessary.

Allow Gaspard to survive, in all likelihood.

For my first playthrough, what I'm not going to do is:

 

*Get every trophy 

*Spend five minutes in CC ( I like to take my time   )

*Be a male Inquisitor

*Be human 

*Be a  warrior

*Purposely kill off my companions ( unless, there is no way around it )

*Bulldoze through the game

*Restart my first character because I feel like I totally screwed up my placing attribute points (or however we'll be leveling )

*Purposely ruin connections with my companions just to see them cry and leave 

*Cheat on any LI ( never do this kind of thing...feels...just....so not like me   )

*Purposely be hateful against any companions or NPCs that have very different views than my own ( unless, I'm just having one of them days   )

*Have twenty Inquisitors going all at once  ( I did that for Origins and that was very tiresome     )

*Be on these forums everyday after launch and seeing your beautiful faces     ( unless, I fail at this game hardcore.  I'll really miss you peeps    Promise I'll only be gone maybe a week or a month )

I will not:

Fully side with the Templars. Like, ever. I don't even like playing as a mage most days and I STILL won't. They're just... a bit too much. Just a bit. On that note...

Dismiss or kill any companions with views different from my own. I LIKE hearing the other side of the in-world issues. I may not like THEM, exactly, but I will like that aspect of their presence.

Play an "evil" character. Pragmatic? Oh, yes. Snarky? Very much so. Occasionally ruthless when it comes to certain issues? Probably. But being a wicked buttbiscuit for the sake of being a wicked buttbiscuit? It's not for me.

I will not

• play as a qunari unless I can romance the Iron Bull.
• romance f/f. I don't often make female characters, but when I do, they represent myself. I then romance somebody I could romance in a real life too.
• romance Varric. Even if he is a LI. Same as I could never romance my best friend.
• make a non-blood mage.
• be evil on my first playthrough.
• install any lore-unfriendly or skimpy mods. (unless it concerns a certain companion with a gorgeous beard)
• miss the opportunity to be an arcane warrior, if this specialisation exists.

...and for all those who want to hear something about Cullen:

• I will not refuse to romance him if he is an interesting companion / NPC. Nor will I romance him as soon as I can.
• I will not try to behead him right after we meet, nor will I hope to play "the naughty mage and the helpless recruit" or the "secret desire demon and the upstanding knight" even before the game gets released.
• But I certainly will wait for Vivienne to comment on his noodle hair

- Play as an Elf or Dwarf (probably not even Qunari)

 

- Kill off a character because they don't agree with me

The only thing I'm 'not' going to do for sure is limit myself based on gender, race, class, romance or personality. The game has options and I intended to make full use of the game's replayability.
