So I accidently did my first platinum match today. It was fb condor vs reapers, but there were atlas', phantoms, and combat mechanics there too. Is that normal?

Platinum is always mixed factions.  You're fine.

After wave 3 in Platinum the other original factions start appearing too.

Beginning Platinum with FB Condor is a tough gig. That map sucks. Yeah, it's normal; in plat you battle each faction. However, Collectors only show up if you're facing Collectors.

No. It's messed up. But that's the way it is.

 

Long term exposure to BSN may make it appear normal, eventually.

Haha, alright. Luckly I was playing beefier class and the other three guys seemed to be vets. I was holding my own for a while but bashees gutted me early on - two rounds in a row. I think we made it to wave 8. It was... hectic and interesting.

The only bad thing about Condor is ammo boxes.

 

... and things that look like cover but are really apparently just holograms that Geth Primes, Rocket Troopers, and Scions can shoot you right through from across the map.

Yeah but the map is sort of easy to cheesily camp, and it has a lot of ramps to prevent sync kills.

My first Platinum match was on Condor also .. wiped on wave 10 devices.

 

Hindsight being what it is, our group probably should have chosen a map as opposed to random ...

I can't remember what map I played my first Platinum on, it was either White or Vancouver.

The map I played my first Platinum on was Glacier Hazard. And we got a full extraction. It was a lucky day.
