Games and/or Films You've Cried At?

I've cried after Two films. Disney's Tarzan and The Champ.
Quite interested to hear about games people have cried at. Please only post if you've actually been reduced to tears, because it's quite different from thinking "Aw, that's a bit sad."

No.
Does a book count?
No, that was just a papercut.
No, not even when I was young.

The Walking Dead is the only game where tears have physically manifested themselves. Some others have given a feeling, but Telltale is the only dev to manage to pull the right strings to produce legit tears at more than one point. Not cop-out man tears, just tears.
'nuff said. My god. ![]()
Movies though...Where the Red Fern Grows. F*** that movie.

Movies -- Some of them made me tear up while some simply struck me given how powerful they were and are. I've seen a lot of those so I'm just gonna mention a few, not necessarily the best among all of those I've seen but merely examples.
Thomas Vinterberg's -- Jagten/The Hunt
Lars von Trier - Dancer in the Dark
Michael Gondry's -- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Darren Aronofsky - Requiem for a Dream
Darren Aronofsky - The Wrestler
Milos Forman - One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Spielberg's - Schindler's List
Clint Eastwood - Million Dollar Baby
Terry Gilliam - Fisher King
Paul Thomas Anderson - Magnolia
Paul Thomas Anderson - There Will Be Blood
David Fincher - Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Sam Mendes - American Beauty & The Road to Perdition
Could go on, so I'm just gonna stop there
Games -- Can't think of many here but those that spring to mind are the following. Will probably add mroe
inFamous 2
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Persona 3
The Last of Us
Silent Hill 2

Silent Hill 2 and The Walking Dead so far are the only games that have managed to make me tear up a bit. Neither of them had me weeping, but they did have me sniffling and wiping my eyes.
As far as films go...
Million Dollar Baby, Glory, Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, The Green Mile, Road to Perdition
I'm probably forgetting a few.

That would also get my nomination for having one of the best twists in gaming history.
Although it seemed obvious afterwards...I totally did not see that reveal coming.

It's the sort of twist, where the answer is delivered to you from the start but the answer itself is as eerie & foggy as the town itself. The kinda game that needs no words to tell a story because everything is drenched in symbolism and subtlety integrated into the game's gameplay. One of the many reasons I love it. The kind of game that perfectly blends a natural balance of gameplay and story. And all of the endings are sad, depressing and provokes powerful emotions, which is partly helped by the game's excellent soundtrack. It's just damn good.

Mass Effect 3, everytime! The end, Quarian vs Geth, the Genophage, Thane's death, the Citadel DLC.
The end of Mass Effect 1.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (book) - the part with Severus Snape.
The Dark Knight Rises - the end of the film.
Thor/Thor: The Dark World - emotional scenes with Loki about his family relationships.
I can get very emotional about games/books/films, but I don't cry much. And if I do, it's a story that will be special to me my whole life.

Everyone says how negative I am because I don't ever show emotions to anything.
That doesn't even make sense.

Movies... too many to count, as it's easy for me to relate to most of the characters on screen. But movies on the Shoah really get me and I think I've cried to all of them, even to the less dramatic ones like "La Vita è Bella" and "Train de Vie".
For games the list is a lot shorter. So far I think only the ending of The Walking Dead was able to make me cry. Other games usually just give me a sense of closure and/or achievement, even when I do care about the characters.

Games: Dreamfall ending
Movies: a few occasions where there were powerful moments between characters I'd grown to care about. No specific title stands out.

Young lady, surely you cannot stop the joy of happiness spreading across your face when you hear the theme tune to My Little Pony?

First of all, I am not a lady and second of all the world was not build on smiles and happiness, it was built off being serious.
