Oddly enough Sunshine (Science-Fiction film) was me feel misty when Capa meets the sun.

I thought it was such a beautiful moment when he embraces his fate knowing that his death isn't all for naught. This scene was made even better when Capa's message to his mother is being played again and the sun shines brightly again on Sydney.

I know the film but a bit shoddy, but damn, it sure was quite beautiful.

Most people probably desire attention from others to a certain extent.  I know I personally get a little annoyed or feel a bit hurt if certain people in my life don't seem to care how or what I'm doing. I'd say it's more unusual for someone of or around that age to be a fan of My Little Pony.  I wonder if most adult My Little Pony fans are severely lacking social skills and feel unfulfilled with their lives in general.  Sort of like the flat earth society or an anti-mainstream/anti-popculture type group, if you know what I mean?  It empowers them to be different for the sake of being different, even if it means everyone else thinks you are a nut.

Most people don't make threads on the forums just to ask what others think of them. Besides I can't say I've ever seen him make a post I found particularly mature.

And ftr there are plenty of people that still look at gamers in just a negative light as you look at bronies. If I play a computer games then I must be an anti-social troll living in my parents basement working at mcdonalds right? Your just assuming the worse of another fandom which makes you look completely ignorant in turn. I have to admit I absolutely hate when people try and give bullshit explanations as towards why people enjoy the things they do even when its obvious they have never actually bothered to think about it.

Anyways sorry for going OT, I'll make this my last unrelated post.

Are you sure you aren't just projecting your own flaws onto us? It's okay if you are, pretty much all geeks have some fandom they love to hate, to make them feel better about their own lives.

Haha, you call me ignorant then say "Anyway, this is my last unrelated post"?   That's a bit cheap, young lady.

Here's a little Derpy type post...

First of all, I didn't actually say that adult MLP fans are all anti-social and unfulfilled.  What I said was, "I wonder".  Why do you hate it when people make observations?  You've just told me that Derpy posted a thread asking what people think of him.  Maybe the poor little guy has some self esteem issues, and being part of the cult of MLP helps him take his mind off it, makes him feel part of something bigger, gives him purpose.  And instead of helping him, all you want to do is call him out for it.  You should be ashamed of yourself, young lady.

Second of all, I don't think you can compare gaming to MLP.  A more fitting comparison would maybe be people who enjoy video games vs people who enjoy TV shows.  These days, most people can appreciate games.  You even get the odd pensioner who enjoys the Wii.

I think you've misunderstood.  I don't really hate anyone, least of all adults who watch My Little Pony.  I find bizarre followings like these fascinating.  All for people doing what they want to do, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.

Fair enough, I suppose hating something and expressing a seemingly negative opinion about aren't quite the same thing.

The end of Eight Below.
The end of Wall-E.
The beginning of Up.

God damn Disney, I thought their stuff was supposed to be for kids but instead they make a 30 year old man cry like a baby. Those bastards at the mouse house really know how to manipulate me emotionally.

Gone Home?  Surely you know that she only ran around the corner, hid in a bush for a few hours, then came home for dinner?
