...I have no idea what you said. Are you saying these sites are offering torrents/downloads of ME2?

What he said. They're digital distribution venues, like Steam, that allow you to download the game files (a 10.82 GB download compressed from Direct2Drive) prior to release. When the game is released you get a code to unlock and install the game.

Impulse has a pre-load, in fact said pre-load took me all of an hour-hour and half to download 10 gigs (love my 20meg connection) of ME2.

Ahhh.... so you use Paypal or such to legally download it, but you can't actually play it until they say so and give you the code.

Yes, you pay for the game but cannot play it until they send you the activation code when the game is officially released.

This would be handy if I didn't already technically own the game thanks to Gamespot... but I'm sure I'll remember it in the future!

Well I view these download sites as a virtual Gamestop that is forever my **** and will forever hold my games. No physical copies to get lost, stolen, cd's scratched, ect. I can download my games over and over and over again with out worrying about pesky security limitations some games have, and if my computer happens to blow up and it takes me a year to replace, I don't have to worry about losing the CD's I would have thrown against the wall in absolute nerd rage.

Steam rules.... until monday when people get pre-orders and can start playing immediatly, were as I'm still stuck waiting for the official release on Tuesday. Meh, no big deal. Nothing a **** load of sleep aids and a bottle of vodka can't cure.
