You willingly dropped credits already earned to give them a second chance, that´s courteous above and beyond the call of duty :-).

It turns out you don't actually get back anything that you've already used from your manifest, but you do get to refill your available consumables and equipment, as long as you have enough to replace them.

I've definitely gotten back my ammo, armor and weapon consumables.  I've tracked the count multiple times and never seen the number go down on anything other than gels, missiles, etc.

Not at all. It actually gives the other 3 players a mulligan...assuming of course they can finish the match up.

I've only quit a few times as host -- when experiencing some weird glitch (rubber-banding teammates, etc.)  to give the others a chance for credits that nobody would otherwise get.  My rule for clutching waves -- ok if only a few enemies left, suicide otherwise.

Lance, I use Striker Destroyer as my regular setup and it´s a fine setup.  It is slower against bosses, but I would say it still eats through enemies quite well. And it´s incredibely effective against Phantoms. Though I am not trying to go for tech bursts, I equip cryo ammo and freeze things. So don´t give up! :)

And for your question, no I wouldn´t consider it rude at all. You gave your team another chance and that´s cool.
