Why do I do these things? I said to myself that this time I wasn't going to buy the gameguide - but I love gameguides! It's like that cat from Bethesda said, that in a way, the gameguide is even more representative of the game than the game is itself. I like to read the gameguide in bed, after playing, to see what I missed.

Anybody else bite on this as well?

No, I'd rather spend the extra time exploring the game world myself for IP's that I truly enjoy.

Same here!! I ordered the CE game guide which should come around the end of next week. I will play through the game first before opening it because of fear of spoilers.

I was thinking about it, but due to my financial situation I'll probably pass. Better to not waste my money on things I don't need.

I find it enjoyable to read about that parts that I've just finished playing. It constantly surprises me how much stuff I end up missing.

I ordered the Collector's Edition guide and plan to do my first couple playthroughs without it.

I liked the artbook from ME1 better than the guide itself. (All Prima guides for BioWare games miss too much stuff to be really helpful.) But I absolutely had to pre-order the CE guide for ME2. On one hand the guide will arrive here earlier than the game, so I can read a bit into characters and on the other hand... it has printed artwork. As usual, the guide will only be some eye candy to lie around on the desk but I die for guides, use them or not.

Not really AMazon has the CE Strat guide for 19.79 where Gamestop has it for 29.99 and you only get 20% discount so even with Amazon and shipping you come on top. Even so if you are a prime member like me.
