I aint worried about no regen because trainers and cheat engine exist

As I recall, "-killallhostiles" seemed to work in everything but boss battles.

Of course, as always, the typical caveats: if you're on PC, and if they bring back the, uhhh, customization, console, (and with most of the same codes) in DAI.

What? Don't look at me. I didn't use it. Ever. Never once gave myself more gold. That would be cheating. Never once used a racy mod.

I suspect the trick in DA2 was the cross-class combo.  I never used them, partly because I thought combat moved too quickly to set them up, and partly because I dislike choosing abilities that have restrictions or dependencies.  I never used Spirit Healer or Blood Mage in DA2 because of those restrictions, and I didn't ugrade any abilities to enable CCC because of those dependencies.

You don't need CCCs on lower difficulties if you rely on AOE spells (who don't trigger CCCs really). That tactic is all about using Force Mage specializations to group enemies together, putting your parties back to a wall so you create a cone that enemies have to rush toward you, and then use your AOEs to effectively decimate them as they run toward you.

Not everybody. I remember playing Temple of Apshai. One of the first things that called itself a graphical CRPG. (I'm not counting the text adventures like Colossal Cave, or Zork. Or the ASCII-graphics games like Rogue).

Dig those graphics.

Loading the Zork games from floppies - real floppies, anybody remember those? - took a minute and a half. Each time, to play, on my Commodore 64.

And now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some kids to chase off my lawn.

God, I do NOT miss four color CGA graphics...lol.  320x200 resolution for the win!

Now I'm feeling positively ancient because I associate the terms tank, healer and damage dealer to table-top RPGs (which are multi-player/co-operative) and I have played them for over 30 years.

Interesting. My PnP group didn't use those terms. Of course, we had the concepts available when playing in a system that enforced classes.

I played Starflight on a machine with a Hercules graphic card. 720x348, but monochrome. I played on an amber monitor, so I was quite amused to see ME displays in that color -- especially since ME1 planet exploration played like a tribute to Starflight.

*snip*

This was my first games machine.

MIne was a Commodore 64 (we actually had a PET before that but I don't consider that a games machine)
